Curl up with these Cosy Games

There is nothing better than curling up with a good game with the winter nights closing in and a large roaring fire in the hearth. So, we have gathered together a list of a few games to play while sitting in front of the fire. This list is by no means all cosy games, but some of the games that have been tried and tested by the team at LadiesGamers.

Animal Crossing New Horizons

It wouldn’t be a list of cosy games if Animal Crossing New Horizons were missing from it, especially at LadiesGamers.

Escape to a deserted island and create your paradise as you explore, create, and customize in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game. Your island getaway has many natural resources used to craft everything from tools to creature comforts.

You can hunt down insects at the crack of dawn, decorate your paradise throughout the day, or enjoy the sunset on the beach while fishing in the ocean, my favourite thing to do. The time of day and season match real life, so each day on your island is a chance to check-in and find new surprises all year round. Build your community from scratch on a deserted island along with ten aminal islanders.

With the release of Happy Home Paradise DLC, you now have so much more to do in Animal Crossing New Horizons, the ultimate cosy game.

Grow: Song of the Evertree

Grow: Song of the Evertree LadiesGamers

Grow your worlds and nurture a deep natural connection with everything they hold. Then, see your actions change the world for the better when you bring the Evertree back to life in this world-crafting sandbox, with life management and adventure elements game.

Over time, the Worlds of Alaria faded. The Evertree where many worlds resided on its countless branches is now nothing more than a sapling, its splendour long erased from memory. No one knows how to make it grow. You hear the sun as it sings across the sky, and you hear the language of rain against the earth.

Grow: Song of the Evertree Beginner's Tips LadiesGamers

You are the last of the Everheart Alchemists, and your task has been passed down from generation to generation. Grow Song of the Evertree is a very chilled out game as you aren’t under any pressure. You’ll spend a good bit of time collecting resources, exploring and tending to the Evertree.

The Wild at Heart

In The Wild at Heart, you wield an ever-growing herd of quirky creatures to rebuild broken paths. Battle dangerous beasts, and solve peculiar puzzles in a rich, interconnected world. Join two young runaways as they unravel the mysteries of a lost realm and set out to find three Artifacts to bring peace to the Woods in this nostalgic storybook fantasy!

Visit the Deep Woods home to the Greenshields. A strange breed of folk. There is the Crazy Cat lady named Litterbox, who has mislaid her cats, Paper Planes, who can’t talk but can make cool paper planes and old Grey Coat who seems to be the leader, and many more.

Collect and deploy a swarm of quirky Spritelings, small magical creatures (similar to Pikmin) for you to command. Break stuff, collect loot, fight enemies, build new paths, and explore the strange world.

The Last Campfire

The last campfire

The Last Campfire is a little puzzle adventure. It is a game that adults and children will enjoy playing, especially together. It delivers a message of hope and warmth in these strange times we find ourselves in.

You play an ember, a traveller who gets lost from a pack of explorers at the beginning of the game. Ember ends up in an unusual, strange world where other explorers lie around in a depressed state, stuck in a frozen slumber.

The Last Campfire

Your job is to comfort these travellers by entering their dream state and free them from that slumber. You do this by solving a puzzle room in their mind and rescuing an orb of hope to bring them back to the waking world. It is a sweet and wholesome little puzzler.

Spiritfarer

Spiritfarer

Spiritfarer is a cosy management game about dying. As ferry master to the deceased, build a boat to explore the world, care for your spirit friends, and guide them across mystical seas to finally release them into the afterlife. That may sound morbid but it isn’t really, it is quite an uplifting game in a way.

Spiritfarer

You’ll farm, mine, fish, harvest, cook, and craft your way across mystical seas. Unwind for hours in the relaxing gameplay. Experience moving, emotional stories filled with unforgettable moments. Spend precious quality time with your spirit passengers, create lasting memories, and ultimately, learn how to say goodbye to your cherished friends.

Down in Bermuda

Down in Bermuda is a quirky adventure filled with puzzles to solve and mysteries to uncover. Adventurous aviator Milton finds himself trapped in a time-bubble deep inside Bermuda after an unnatural storm leaves him shipwrecked and he needs your help to escape.

Down in Bermuda LadiesGamers

You’ll go on a journey and crack codes and solve puzzles. The islands are all single detailed dioramas, all are ripe for exploration. Most of the puzzles are the cause-and-effect kind, more so than logic style puzzles. So you’ll be flicking switches for temples to rise out of the grass somewhere. Or you might open an underwater dome and a sea monster will appear.
