Anyway, here’s this week’s news.

Holiday Themed DLC with Lake: Season’s Greetings

Special delivery to all Lake fans – Lake’s holiday-themed prequel DLC, Lake: Season’s Greetings, introduces new storylines and characters!

Lake: Season’s Greetings takes place during 1985’s holiday season, one year before the original Lake game. Players take on the role of Thomas Weiss, an amiable mail carrier and father to Lake’s protagonist, Meredith Weiss. Changing the perspective from Meredith to her father, players will gain an understanding of the Weiss family dynamics and an insight into a snow-covered Providence Oaks from a long-time resident’s point of view. Not only will players learn more about the familiar faces they have grown to love from the main story, but Season’s Greetings introduces five completely new characters to the town of Providence Oaks, each with their very own storylines. The DLC will also provide more background to some unanswered questions that were teased in Lake.

Following the ideals of the base game, Season’s Greetings will continue to focus on slice-of-life themes and relaxing vibes, this time embedded in a comfy holiday setting. So curl up with some hot cocoa and a copy of Season’s Greetings because it isn’t Christmas until Thomas Weiss has delivered the holiday cheer.

Lake is now available on PC via Steam or Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S. Lake: Season’s Greetings will be released on these platforms on November 15th, 2023.

Halloween in A Little to the Left

Hello fellow ghouls and ghosts,
What’s this? What’s this? There are messes everywhere! What’s this? It’s time for spooks and scares! What’s this? A Little to the Left with all new content for the season, it’s not a trick, it’s all right there!

Many fangs,
Matth-boo, R-ick, & the Secret Mode scream

Good news for all lovers of A Little to the Left: the next free batch of cauldron-brewed puzzles called Trick or Tidy will be available to all A Little to the Left players across PC, Mac, and Nintendo Switch between 27th-31st October.

Trick or Tidy will feature five head(stone)-scratching Halloween-themed puzzles, where the monsters in the back of the wardrobes and under the bed are finally taking revenge on those who stuff their lairs with junk. Some things are about to go bump in the night. You, poor victims, are tasked with cleaning up the resulting mess.

Players intent on bolting the doors and drawing the curtains until Halloween is over? Your efforts are in vain. You should know that, like all good horror film villains, untidiness will always find a way to infiltrate the home. From 1st November 2023, all five Trick or Tidy levels will be added to A Little to the Left’s Archive for permanent chills and spills.

That’s it for this week; thanks for reading!
