Kynseed is coming to PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch on 4 August 2026, bringing its life sim RPG to consoles for the first time. The release includes all major updates since the original PC launch, including the new Tavern Update that is available now on PC.
What is Kynseed About?
Set in the world of Quill, Kynseed follows your story across generations. You plant a magical acorn that grows into a family tree, and when your character dies, you continue as their children. Your choices carry forward, shaping both your family and the wider world.
Alongside farming and exploration, you can run different businesses such as a shop, blacksmith, or apothecary. The Tavern Update adds another option, allowing you to serve food and drinks, hire staff, and turn your tavern into a social hub where NPCs gather. Characters age over time and remember your actions, giving the world a strong sense of continuity.
Since its PC release in December 2022, the game has received more than 10 major updates, expanding story content, adding new regions and systems, and improving customisation, progression tracking, and quality of life features. Console players will have access to all of this, alongside optimised controls and interface updates.

Kynseed is a great game to get lost in for hours. With an entire cast of weird and wacky NPC to keep you company. Plenty of mini-games to play and a large world to explore; there is always something to do in Quill.
