Lost In Loss, Finding Oneself, One Object at a Time
Once upon a time, an adorable city nestled between the blue sea and a sweet forest, fell into the pit of oblivion. But you, the great detective, are tasked with saving the day!

A bit theatrical, you think? And yet, that is exactly the premise here. Lost in Loss is a hidden object game, where your job as a detective is to help townsfolk find their identity, but more importantly, figure out what on earth makes them lose it in the first place.
Gameplay, a Game of Hide, Seek and Remember
Since the concept of a hidden object game is pretty straightforward, the story jumps right in. The sequence is, you find someone who seems lost or acts in a way that feels out of place and start following them into different scenes, hoping the journey through memory lane will trigger something.
Objects range from something as big and obvious as a chair to something as tiny as a blackboard pin. The game doesn’t really give you any clues on where the objects are so it demands that you stay sharp. For some objects or scenes it can take a little time but Lost in Loss keeps the challenge on a manageable level. A little tip? Pay attention to the lighting of the scene. Sometimes the object that you’re looking for is hidden in plain sight, not in broad daylight, but in the shadows.

There are multiple mini-games that enhance the flavour of Lost in Loss. I just wish some of them came with clearer instructions then I wouldn’t have wasted so much time trying to figure out what the rules were and what was expected.

Art and Sound of Lost In Loss
The art style of Lost in Loss is distinctive, particularly the character’s designs. They almost look like those kids’ books, where you would have a few “naked” characters and a plethora of clothes and accessories that you could put on top of them given the circumstances that you choose to imagine. In the animated scene, this effect was even more pronounced. It gives a sense of uneasiness to some characters which I guess translates into a fun interpretation of the weight of memory loss.

As for your ears, the soundtrack feels straight out of a ’90s cartoon. As a big nostalgia aficionado, it’s really pleasant. By the way, the narrator of the introduction section? He only heightened this point!
The music isn’t always on, in the part of the game where you’re looking for objects, you only hear background and ambient noise linked to the scene. I decided to cut the sound altogether to be able to focus, but this effort of the developers still adds a bit of immersion.
Conclusion
Lost in Loss is an interesting game. It’s short and pretty accessible in terms of mechanics. The story itself is sweet, especially in the message it conveys. Some moments felt a bit abrupt or frustrating to me, but it was still worth finishing it.
I think it could work for people who want to train their observation skills, who like to make that brain of theirs work a little, but most importantly who have patience (you’re gonna need it). As long as you’re up for that kind of challenge, I think you’ll enjoy this little ‘forget-me-not’ journey.
Final verdict: I like it

Hi Nathalie!
This mini game confused me too. It actually took me the longest to figure out
But don’t worry here’s the full solution :
*Triangle symbol : Turn on the tv and click through each color on the line. Stop at blue.
Square symbol : Set the volume to 3 (this refers to the “three shots”)
Circle symbol : Press these buttons in order : 4 (for the four circles in the charade), 3 (again for the “three shots”) and 7 (as a reference to the secret channel “17A”)
Diamond symbol : Press 6, which looks like a broken button, but it works !
That should solve the puzzle and let you continue the story
Enjoy the rest of the game !

Hello Amber !
I totally understand your frustration with this puzzle. It’s definitively a trial and error situation
Here’s the step by step guide to help you solve it :
Adjust the clock to match each on of the times list in the notebook.
When the clock shows the right time, click on the correct magic rock, then press the skull to confirm the rock combination (it’s important to confirm after each one, or it won’t work).
Now, for the notebook, follow these specifics times and symboles in this order :
3:10 = star
6:20 = wind and plant
12:30 = Sun and water drop
18:45 = Lightning
00:00 = Crescent moon
Once you’ve done this, you should be able to continue the game.
Good luck with the rest of your adventure
