Since Yvonne is on vacation this week, I’ll be taking over the news. This week has been amazing for wholesome cozy games, including a few sneak peaks from Gamescom and a couple of upcoming titles with release dates. There were also a lot of cozy releases this week, even a free game available for everyone on Steam, and some 100% discounts on Epic Games. Let’s dive into everything new you need to know about the cozy news!
Released This Week…
This week, wholesome game enthusiasts got a ton of new games to check out, including some LadiesGamers got to review early! If you want to support some amazing developers making beautiful cozy games, you should check out these new releases.

Harvest Moon: Home Sweet Home Special Edition has a Release Date
Home Sweet Home is now available for pre-order, and it will be released on October 30, 2025. It will be available on most platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Steam. There is a fun little pre-order bonus: an “acrylic standee featuring the upcoming game’s box art,” if you order it on the Natsume Store. The price is $39.99 USD, and you can preorder it on the store for either the PS5 or the Switch.
LEGO Voyagers Will Be Available September 15
LEGO Voyagers is the newest LEGO game to fuel your imagination. This couch co-op game will be available in about a month, letting you build, roll, race, and a whole lot more with your friends and family. It will be available for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
A Surprising Crossover Event
Stardew Valley is having a crossover event with Infinity Nikki! This update is going to add farming, growing, fishing, decorating, and Juminos to the dress-up gacha game, and it will all begin on September 1, 2025 with Nikki‘s 1.9 update. It looks like it will have a ton of options for decorations, buildings, plants, and a whole lot more to explore.

Atollo is one of the cutest little pixel art games I’ve seen in a while. You need to sail your ship, battle other ships, and meet silly locals. Your job is collect all the eggs to help awaken the kraken while grooving to some amazing music. Can you succeed without getting distracted by some of the most adorable graphics this side of the seven seas?
Sheepherds! has Extended Playtest Until August 25
Sheepherds! is a wholesome little game where you and friends play as sheep herding dogs. You get to herd sheep, bark, eat treats, unlock outfits, dye wool, and run through beautiful places together. If you want to try out the cozy co-op sheep herding game, you can request access to the beta for the next few days via Steam.
Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge and Strange Horticulture Discounted on Epic Games
One savvy cozy gamer on reddit has spotted that, from August 21st to the 28th, Epic will almost certainly be offering up both Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge and Strange Horticulture at 100% discount until August 28th.
Margaret reviewed the frog collection and decoration game, Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge and found it a relaxed and adorable experience perfect for the low stress gamer. Over a year later, Kamaeru is still pretty tucked away behind bigger games, so this’ll be a great time to give the game a chance.
Collect herbs and solve riddles to progress through a creepy, atmospheric plot in Strange Horticulture, the well-loved predecessor to the upcoming Strange Antiquities.
Gamescom 2025 Presents Cozy Games
While Gamescom is not about all cozy titles, a few cozy games did come up during the event. Gamers got to witness our first look at the upcoming games called Starsand Island and Moonlight Peaks.
Starsand Island is a farming and life simulation game. You will get to tame wildlife, get pets, play music, interact with friends, play video games, farm, plant, explore, travel, and decorate. This anime-style game looks like it will be full of all sorts of fun things to do, including maybe a little romance!
The second cozy game we got a sneak peek at was Moonlight Peaks. It’s got everything your typical life sim has, but you aren’t a human! Play as a very cute vampire that wants to live a simple life, hang out with friends, forage, and play games. It’s a cute, family-friendly, and spooky take on the sims we all know and love.
An Update for Little Kitty, Big City on the Way
The Picture Purrfect update is coming to Little Kitty, Big City on August 27th. You will finally be able to choose your own coat color and make your own little kitty to get lost. This update will also add a photo mode, new hats, locations, and some other new content to make you want to travel through the big city all over again.
