Missi is a short adventure game about a mouse on the hunt for medication for her ailing son. In order to get everything he needs to get better, you need to travel all over the forest, the swamp, an underground cave, and other locations, solving puzzles and helping others along the way.
A Beautiful Adventure
Missi is one of those games that looks like a classic Disney cartoon from back when everything was hand-drawn, and there was love in every panel. It’s an adorable, short adventure, point-and-click game that takes about two hours to complete, and it is filled to the brim with cute details, interesting puzzles, and tons of little characters to meet.

At the beginning of Missi, you are shown a mother mouse and her child. They are caught out in the rain, and the child mouse ends up with a cold. Thankfully for him, he has a mother willing to go on an adventure to get all the plants he needs to get better quickly. After unlocking the front door, you head out into a world filled with odd little critters like clock-obsessed crows, attack bees, a tiny gryphon, and butterfly bunnies.
You are in the forest around your house, looking for a raspberry as your first ingredient, getting help from several locals. You collect items, interact with the world around you with those items, and present other items to NPCs to get them to help you navigate the different locations you find yourself in.

The Pros of Missi
Missi is extremely well made. The sound design is beautiful, the music is great, and the animations are top-notch. The puzzles are fun, and all of them have fairly logical answers once you get used to the way the developers think. There are also really interesting mini-games you need to play, like this one where you need to put drawings into the outline of a hat to fill in all the spaces:

But the most stunning thing about Missi has to be the character designs and the way the backgrounds and characters look. It’s such a beautiful game, and you can tell that it was a labor of love from the developers. I am blown away by how cute everything is, and I feel like I don’t have the proper words for how much I love the way it looks.
I had an incredible time playing this point-and-click. It was the perfect length, the puzzles are spot on, and I love the main character mouse. She’s a powerful creature that is brave, strong, and willing to do anything for her sick son. It really shows the great lengths a mother can go through to make their kids happy and healthy. What a powerful story this is.

The Cons of Missi
I didn’t have any issues during my playthrough of Missi. I didn’t experience any bugs; the game never crashed, and I never saw any hiccups in the art or sound. Playing this was a pleasant experience all around; the length of the game was perfect, and the puzzles were sound.
There were a couple of the characters that looked a little childishly drawn, and some of the walk cycles and movements looked a little awkward. Overall, though, everything still looked beautiful, ran well, and I have no complaints.

Conclusion
Missi is a cute, fun puzzle game that a lot of thought and love went into. It looks pretty, sounds beautiful, and is worth a playthrough. I recommend this one to anyone who loves thoughtful stories with cute little animal characters. I had a fabulous time in the world of Missi, and I think you will too!
Final Verdict: Two Thumbs Up:
