Today, NISA shared some cool game announcements with us in their virtual press tour, which I will happily pass on to you.

Trails of Cold Steel IV

Following Trails of Cold Steel III this sequel takes up where III left off: The Erebonian Empire is on the brink of all out war! The heroes of Class VII find themselves against the full force of the Empire in an attempt to stop its path of total domination. Further, the hero of the Erebonian Civil War and Class VII’s instructor, Rean Schwarzer, has gone missing. Now, the students of Class VII, old and new, must unite with heroes from all over the continent to create the only chance the world has to be spared from total destruction.

This JRPG fan favourite will land on the Switch and PC in 2021, but will be available on PS4 on October 27 2020.

Mad Rat Dead

Nippon Ichi Software, Inc. developed this rhythm game with very funky music themselves. The special edition of the game will come with a cassette tape with the soundtrack! So, what’s the game about?

A rat’s dream has been left unfulfilled before his death…that is, until he gets a second chance at life! Granted the opportunity to redo his last day on Earth, the player must utilize the Rat’s newfound power to pump his heart in time with the music, lest his own time runs out. Mad Rat Dead combines platformer action and rhythm mechanics to have players keep their eyes and ears peeled at all times!

We watched a demo of the game, and the rewind function is pretty handy in your mission to get five stars.

Saviors of Sapphire Wings / Stranger of Sword City Revisited

One of gaming company Experience’s earliest RPGs, the Demon Gaze prequel, will be heading to the Nintendo Switch and PC outside Japan in 2021 as Saviors of Sapphire Wings & Stranger of Sword City Revisited. Saviors of Sapphire Wings is the localization and port of the 2019 PlayStation Vita game Azure-Winged Chevalier, which is a remake of the 2010 game Students of the Round.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox

Coming to the Switch, PS4 and PC in 2021 is Ys IX: Monstrum Nox.

Renowned adventurer Adol “the Red” Christin and his companion Dogi arrive at Balduq, a city annexed by the Romun Empire, only for Adol to be detained before setting foot inside. While imprisoned, he meets a mysterious woman named Aprilis who turns him into a Monstrum, a being with supernatural Gifts and the power to exorcise monsters. Now, Adol must ally with his fellow Monstrums to fend off the fearsome threats emerging from a shadowy dimension called the Grimwald Nox, as well as unravel the mysteries of the Monstrum curse, and the truth behind the unrest within Balduq.

Fallen Legion Revenants

This action RPG made by YUMMYYUMMYTUMMY is coming to the Switch and PS4 early in 2021.

In a world covered in miasma, a floating castle is the last refuge for mankind. The earth is scarred with beasts mutated by the plague while Welkin Castle is quarantined from the horrors below. Lucien, a charismatic politician protected in the castle walls, discovers an ancient book where he learns of the Exemplars, weapons that can turn into sentient soldiers. He joins forces with Rowena, a revenant determined to find a way to come back to life to raise her living son, and the two reluctantly make a pact to overthrow the mad tyrant controlling Welkin.

Prinny 1•2: Exploded and Reloaded

Lastly, we saw a demo of Prinny. As we’ve mentioned before in our weekly news segments, the game is expected on October 13 in America and on October 16 in Europe.
