Purr in Bloom is a logic puzzle game that tasks players with finding cats hidden among vibrant flowers using deduction and clues. Much like Sudoku or classic Crowns puzzles, the placement of cats follows strict rules: only one cat per column, row, and colored patch, with no two cats touching—not even diagonally. With these rules in mind, it’s time to start hunting!
Your best starting point is always the patch consisting of a single square. From there, you systematically eliminate possibilities until the felines’ locations become clear. The colorful, whimsical flower artwork makes the deduction process feel lighthearted and enjoyable. The game packs 500 increasingly difficult levels, gradually ramping up both the grid size and the number of cats to uncover.
Controls are straightforward: double-click a square to place a cat, or single-click to mark a square as empty. You start each level with three lives; guessing incorrectly costs you a life and reduces your final star rating by one. Lose all three lives, and it’s game over! You also receive one hint per level— although there is no penalty, you should use it just when you really need to, otherwise, you may regret using it.
In addition to cute graphics, the game also has satisfying lo-fi music and pleasant sound effects. It can be quite relaxing to play while listening to the music and the purring cats. Although this game is heavily based on colour, the flowers are distinctive enough to facilitate identification by colour blind people.
Admittedly, the gameplay loop can feel repetitive after several consecutive levels. To be fair, however, Purr in Bloom isn’t designed for marathon sessions—it’s a casual time-filler for moments of idleness when you just need a quick mental reset. For that purpose, it works perfectly, allowing you to enjoy as little as 15 minutes playing just a couple of levels.
One notable omission is a proper level-select menu. A centralized hub displaying all 500 stages—with the ability to replay any level where you missed the three-star ranking—would significantly enhance its replayability. Given its straightforward mechanics, Purr in Bloom feels perfectly suited for a mobile platform.

Purr in Bloom is a relaxing logic game with a charming art style. It’s a simple concept, rooted in classic magazine puzzles, and its greatest strength is undoubtedly its cute graphics. It offers potentially quite a few hours of gameplay, and fans of the genre will likely have a nice time. Ultimately, it’s an OK game—competent enough to deliver what it promises, though not particularly innovative or outstanding enough to be heavily praised.
