Finding hidden cats in apartments? Sounds like fun! Sign me up for the demo of Secret Paws – Cozy Apartments! It’s a 3D hidden object game that’s quite detailed.
The Back Story of Secret Paws – Cozy Apartments
There really isn’t much of a backstory with this game. But it’s so much fun! Each level is a different room in an apartment, and there are cats hidden all over the place. Secret Paws – Cozy Apartments has 3 different apartments to explore with a total of 14 rooms.
Within those rooms, there are over 1000 total cats hidden. It’s so much fun to poke around the apartments, opening drawers and looking under things to find the hidden cats. I almost feel like I’m snooping!
The Feel of The Secret Paws – Cozy Apartments Demo
The apartments are nicely decorated, bright and colorful and also realistic looking in a cool, rounded way. I was able to play two rooms in the demo, both had a variety of places where I could find hidden cats.
What sets this game apart from many other hidden object games is the 3D aspect of it. I’ve played HOG games in which the objects are concealed in a flat scene, and that was fun too. But the 3D feature adds another dimension (ha!) to the game, giving the scene depth, allowing me to examine the items in the scene up close and also providing many new places for kitties to hide.
The two levels I played had a soft, jazzy soundtrack, which was very relaxing. This is a super low-key, low-stress game. There are no timers, no energy cycles, no need to sleep or anything, just poke around and look for hidden cats.
The Gameplay of Secret Paws – Cozy Apartments
I often need hand-holding when I begin a new game. Secret Paws – Cozy Apartments was so self-explanatory that I understood it immediately. There are minimal directions, and they are all contained in just a quick pop-up. But those simple mechanics allowed me to do everything I needed to do – find a lot of hidden cats!
Each apartment is a standalone level, which makes this a great game to pick up and put down. Play one level or 10, it’s your choice. There’s no detailed storyline to remember or complicated quests to complete. Just find the cats!!
The rooms can be rotated, and it’s amazing how a cat can be completely hidden with the room one way, but when I rotate the room, the cat is so visible. There are windows to open and pictures to look behind, too. And I can zoom in to get a closer look. The cats are everywhere!
The Steam page for Secret Paws – Cozy Apartments says there are puzzles and items to collect, which will allow me to explore more areas. It also says there are secret cats. The demo did not include these features, which I think will improve the game even more!
The Hint System
Secret Paws – Cozy Apartments has a hint system, and thank goodness! Some of those kitties are really well hidden. The hint system is initiated by pressing the magnifying glass on the top left of the screen. Then one hidden cat is lit up for about a minute, making it a bit more visible. It’s still a challenge to find, but it’s easier. I don’t think I would have gotten them all without using a few hints!

Secret Paws – Cozy Apartments was developed by Sagitta Studios. Lynne wrote a review about a similar game, by the same developer, but with an office setting instead of apartments. If you enjoy this demo, you’ll probably also be interested in that game: Secret Paws – Cozy Offices.
The Cozy Offices variant is a free game on Steam with a very inexpensive DLC you can purchase. The Apartment game is a full game with a similarly very low price point and gives you a lot of fun for your money. I had a really good time playing this demo!
