TetriMatch is a 2025 Tetris puzzle game developed and released by Emerald Knight Interactive LLC.
The Gameplay of TetriMatch
TetriMatch is a Tetris game with a twist of Match 3 mechanics. On the right side of the screen, we have a classic Tetris setup with falling blocks that we rotate and move with the arrow keys or WASD on the keyboard. When we complete a row, it clears. When the blocks touch the upper part of the screen, we lose. The speed of the falling blocks increases with each level.
On the left side of the screen, we have power-ups. We collect them when clearing blocks by clicking on them. Then, we can choose a power-up from the left side and position it onto the blocks on the right side. The power-ups clear several blocks at once and can be either a whole row or a patch of blocks. If you have enough power-ups, in later levels, you can clear the whole board without even touching the keyboard.
Some Other Things
TetriMatch has two visual modes – retro pixel visual and pencil art style. The soundtrack changes with the chosen visual style. We also have instructions on how to play in the main menu and basic audio and visual settings. TetriMatch has Steam achievements but no trading cards yet.
Conclusion
TetriMatch is a nice little Tetris game. It took me less than 20 minutes to complete all the achievements, but afterwards, we still have leaderboards if that motivates you. If you like Tetris, you’ll probably like TetriMatch as well.
