Fans waiting for The Witch’s Bakery will need to be a little more patient. The developers Sunny Lab Games have announced that the game’s release date has been pushed back from 20 August to a digital release date of 14 October 2026. Physical editions for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5 are planned to follow on 16 October 2026.
More Time to Squash Bugs
According to the team, the decision was not made lightly. While development is nearing the finish line, a number of bugs still need attention, and the extra time will allow the developers to further polish the game before launch.
The studio also noted that September is shaping up to be a particularly busy month for game releases and industry events. Rather than launching alongside several larger titles, the team feels that moving to October will give The Witch’s Bakery a better opportunity to reach players without being overshadowed.
