Upcoming Steam Games September 2024

Welcome. It’s time to look at the Upcoming Steam Games in September 2024 that we have on our radar. But aside from our Upcoming Steam Games, if you play on Nintendo Switch, we also have an Upcoming Switch Games article here.

Upcoming Steam Games

Furthermore, not all games to be released are on the list here. Alternatively, you will see games that the other gaming sites don’t mention. We are taking notice of these games, and you can expect reviews for many of them if given half a chance! It should be noted that unless we have some personal experience with the game, there’s a link to the descriptions on the Steam website.

Cylinder: Puzzles Returned – September 4th

Upcoming Steam Games

Cylinder is a captivating, colorful, fast-paced puzzle game that shines bright and lets you play your way. Keep your Cylinder from growing out of control and compete with others! Can you drop big combos and rise to the puzzle-solving challenge??

James reviewed Cylinder: Puzzles Returned and liked it and said this in his conclusion.

Cylinder: Puzzles Returned is a solid puzzle game that offers a range of modes to suit different types of players. Whether you prefer the slower, more thoughtful pace of Adventure Mode, the fast-paced action of Endless Mode, or the competitive thrill of multiplayer, there’s something here for everyone. While Cylinder doesn’t necessarily reinvent the wheel, it offers a well-rounded and enjoyable experience that puzzle fans will appreciate. It may not stick with you as much as other iconic puzzle games, but it’s still a worthy addition to any puzzle lover’s library and a great option for your next game night.

Gimmick! 2 – September 5th

Upcoming Steam Games

In Gimmick! 2, you once again meet the green little yokai Yumetaro. Decades after his first adventure, he sets out on a new quest in a world packed with interesting challenges, dangerous enemies, and hidden treasures. The game can be played in either a friendlier assisted mode or, if you’re up for a challenge, play in the true-to-the-original “Gimmick!” mode!

James reviewed Gimmick! 2 and Liked it a Lot, saying:

Gimmick! 2 is everything a sequel to the original classic should be. It takes the core elements that made the first game special and builds on them with refined graphics, improved level design, and a charming presentation that outshines the original in every way. While it doesn’t reinvent the wheel or introduce groundbreaking new ideas, it does what it sets out to do exceptionally well. This is an easy recommendation for fans of retro platformers, and I’d even go as far as to recommend it to anyone looking for a feel-good gaming experience.

What The Car? – September 9th

Upcoming Steam Games

You’re a car with legs! Race through hundreds of unique levels: jump, fly with jetpacks, climb tall buildings, deliver packages, and do pretty much everything you can’t do in a normal racing game.

Make your own wacky levels, share them with friends and family, or climb the leaderboards of quirky levels made by other players.

Last Dream Fishing Arcade – September 10th

Upcoming Steam Games

Fish your way across lush Gaia in this retro 2D pixel-art fishing RPG. Enjoy a relaxing day or battle for your fishing life against monsters of the deep. With 12 selectable characters, varying difficulty, numerous equipment options, and surprises, you’ll be hooked on this buried treasure of a game!

Follow the characters from the upcoming epic RPG, Last Dream II, in their quest to become Master Fishers. Help them win the Gaia Championship!

James reviewed Last Dream Fishing Arcade and liked it, saying this:

Last Dream Fishing Arcade, while simple, is a nice little fishing game to dabble in from time to time. In today’s gaming lingo, it might be considered a “loading game,” something to play while waiting for a bigger, more demanding title to install. While it doesn’t reinvent the fishing game formula, I can’t deny that it offers a pleasant escape, especially after a stressful day. It’s the kind of game that allows you to switch off your brain and enjoy a peaceful, low-stakes gaming experience.

For the price of entry, it’s well worth checking out, particularly if you’re a fan of fishing games or just looking for something relaxing to play in short bursts.

Critter Cove – September 10th

Upcoming Steam Games

The town of Critter Cove used to attract visitors from all over the world. Now, it’s mostly known for dirty streets and trash-strewn beaches. Can you help us turn things around?

Critter Cove is a combination life sim and town builder game with a beautiful, handcrafted open world to explore.

Yvonne checked out Critter Cove for its early access preview and had this to say:

Even in Early Access, Critter Cove is a great simulation game—loads of questing, loads of clearing away and beautifying and especially, lots of exploring. The cartoony visual style might be a bit too intense in colours for some, but I love how detailed things are. For example, the place where I had my digs: under a makeshift roof of loads of umbrellas, with party lights underneath. Wow. Now, why didn’t I think of that for my new house in real life?

The questing and crafting loop is firmly in place, and the characters you meet are unique. Exploring is grand. The main island has so many nooks and crannies that even after several hours of gameplay, I tend to lose my way. It doesn’t matter, though, as there is always something new around the corner.

I’m looking forward to what else the Gentleman Rat Studios has to offer in Critter Cove once the game passes out of the Early Access stage.

Caravan SandWitch – September 12th

Upcoming Steam Games An animated scene from Caravan SandWitch. A young character sits atop a yellow, futuristic caravan equipped with a mechanical arm, gazing at a dramatic landscape. The backdrop features a bright blue sky with a large, swirling white cloud formation and a dilapidated building amidst scattered greenery. Published on: LadiesGamers.

In Caravan SandWitch, embark on a journey across a Sci-Fi Provence-like world, driven by a mystery through your missing sister that unfolds with each step you take.

Interact with the communities on Cigalo, help them with their tasks and meet new people along the way. Take your time to explore the world, whether in your van or on foot. Life is simple: no combat, no death, no timer, just you, your van, and the world.

I reviewed Caravan SandWitch and liked it a lot, and I said this in my conclusion:

If you are looking for a game with lots of action or high stakes, then Caravan SandWitch is not the game for you. This is a game that is all about taking your time, enjoying the world, and connecting with the characters you meet along the way. It’s a game that encourages you to slow down and really appreciate the journey rather than just rushing to the end.

If you enjoy exploration and a good story, like I do, then Caravan SandWitch is definitely worth checking out. It’s a game with a lot of heart, and it offers an experience that’s both relaxing and enjoyable. Whether you’re in it for the mystery, the exploration, or just the chance to unwind in a beautiful world, Caravan SandWitch is a journey worth taking.

Garden Witch Life – September 19th

Upcoming Steam Games The image features the title screen for Garden Witch Life. A young witch with wide green eyes and brown hair is flying on a broomstick against a vibrant blue background. Surrounding her are colorful, whimsical elements such as smiling fruits, flowers, and a bee, all creating a cheerful and magical atmosphere. The game's title, "Garden Witch Life," is prominently displayed in playful white text with decorative leaves and a crescent moon. Published on: LadiesGamers.

You are a little witch from the big city who has just lost their job. Life didn’t go as you expected, but now you can start anew on a tiny island full of possibilities! Grow your own magical garden, decorate your ancient tree house, care for cute creatures, and make friends along the way. Cook delicious new recipes using homegrown ingredients and be part of a wonderful community working together to make it thrive!

Lynne reviewed the game and wasn’t sure, saying in conclusion:

I like so much about Garden Witch Life. The bees buzzing round the hives, the roses growing up the trellis fences, the exciting and different areas through the magical portal, the cooking mini-games and no dangerous mine monsters to battle with. However at present it feels more like an early access version, and whilst updates are welcome to resolve issues, I shouldn’t have to restart in order to benefit.

It is for the numerous issues I encountered that I can’t recommend Garden Witch Life at this moment. I sincerely hope that the developers weed out the problems, as there is a great farming/life sim game waiting to be unearthed.

Broken Sword – Shadow of the Templars: Reforged – September 19th

Upcoming Steam Games

Step out onto the streets of Paris in Broken Sword—Shadow of the Templars: Reforged, a substantially enhanced version of the multi-award-winning, all-time classic adventure. Kalina reviewed Broken Sword – Shadow of the Templars: Reforged and had this to say:

If you are an old fan of the series, I doubt there is much to say to dissuade you from playing Broken Sword – Shadow of the Templars: Reforged. There isn’t much reason to dissuade you anyway – it was done with evident appreciation and affection for the original games. If you are a new fan and this is the first time you are meeting George and Nico, well, you are in for a treat. Considering there’s yet another remake coming, based on the second game in the series -, this Autumn is shaping out to be great for adventure game fans!

Upcoming Steam Games Seasonspree

Seasonspree is a wholesome time-nudging game in which you play as Sunny, an adorable little tanuki on a tiny planet full of other animals.

As Sunny walks to the right, she progresses through time in the direction you’d expect things to travel through time. But when she turns around and goes to the left, she can revisit days she’s already been to, changing decisions she’s made in the past to create new versions of the future.

Travelling back and forth through each day, Sunny explores the final weeks of each season as her friends prepare for the upcoming season seasonspree, a festive party celebrating what makes each season unique and memorable.

Lynne liked the game a lot, saying:

Seasonspree is an adorable, short adventure. The graphics are cheerful with vibrant colours that lift your mood. The changing seasons and the satisfaction gained from helping Sunny’s friends make it a joy to play.

Explore gridless building chemistry, and watch the game carefully assemble every brick, pebble and plank. Draw a path through a wall? An arch pops up! Widen the arch? Pillars line up. Lower the wall? Arches turn into fences and gates.

I reviewed Tiny Glade and gave it our highest score of Two thumbs Up.

The bold purple title "AHRO" dominates the upper portion of the image, while mystical symbols, including an hourglass and a bell, float in the air. The forested background gives an air of tranquility and mystery. Published on: LadiesGamers.
