Amber Isle Release Date

Amber Isle has a release date of October 10th on Steam, with the Switch release on October 31st! You can expect a shop management sim game centred around dinos, which will whisk you away to a vibrant village inhabited by prehistoric creatures named Paleofolk. You will be the only shopkeeper and will help dinosaur customers, like microraptors requiring microchairs and plesiosaurs in need of waterproof paper.

In the game, you can experience customer service that includes haggling and making counter offers, and the goal is, of course, to turn your shop into a success. Plus, you’ll prevent Amber Isle from becoming a forgotten relic by befriending the locals and improving the village so Paleofolk will return to live there. Sounds interesting!

In the center, a blue triceratops in a red bandana is cheerfully greeting a friendly orange tyrannosaurus rex dressed in a light blue shirt. Above them, to the right, a flying pterodactyl wearing a pilot's cap is descending with a smile. Behind the characters, the scene is set in a tropical village with thatched-roof huts, various prehistoric plants, and a wooden sign that reads "AMBER ISLE" in bold letters. Magical Delicacy Launch Discount

This week, Magical Delicacy was released on Steam and Xbox, and Kalina had the chance to review this gem. You play as young witch Flora, who has never known any witches other than herself. Determined to reach greater magical heights, she ventures to the harbour town of Grat, trying to make a living for herself.

The idea behind Magical Delicacy is simple and very cosy – Flora explores the town, talks to its citizens, takes orders, collects ingredients, and goes shopping. She has a magical store where she can create potions and meals for customers. The shop can be customized and there’s also a garden where you can plant some seeds to grow the ingredients you need. Traversing the town involves some light platforming, but if, like me, you aren’t good at that, the accessibility menu allows you to enable easy platforming.

All of this works perfectly, leading to a Two Thumbs Up from us and the statements that it might even be Kalina’s favourite game of the year! Magical Delicacy Review – LadiesGamers.

In celebration of the launch, the game will be available for a 10% discount on Steam until July 23rd.

Gimmick! 2 is Coming

Clear River Games, known for their focus on classic and retro games, has just unveiled the first gameplay footage for Gimmick! 2, a sequel fans have eagerly awaited for decades!

Set to release on console and PC in 2024, Gimmick! 2 is developed by Bitwave Games. The game continues the adventures of Yokai Yumetaro, the beloved hero from the original SUNSOFT game released on the NES over thirty years ago.

James reviewed the first Gimmick! and loved it, saying:

I’m always pleased to see any retro game get a second chance at life on modern systems. Since Gimmick! Special Edition really didn’t get much attention this is a great opportunity to hop on a retro gem. Gimmicks approach to 2D platforming feels fresh and different even all these years later.

Gimmick! 2 preserves the original’s charming, vibrant visuals while updating them with stunning animations and new, lovable characters. Expect plenty of secrets to discover as you embark on this all-new epic journey. True to the original’s challenging gameplay, Gimmick! 2 offers a firm but fair challenge for platforming enthusiasts of all ages, with an easier mode available for those who prefer a more relaxed experience.

In exciting news, legendary British composer David Wise, known for his work on iconic soundtracks like the Donkey Kong Country series and Battletoads, will be scoring Gimmick! 2.
