If you’re looking for a delightful escape into a world of whimsy and charm, Lost and Found Co., from developers Bit Egg Inc., might be the game for you. The game made an appearance in June’s Wholesome Direct, where it caught my attention. I’ve been playing an extended demo of the game, and I like what I have seen.
Lost and Found Co is a hidden object game that brings to life the tale of Ducky. Ducky is a duck-turned-human intern working at Goddess Mei’s magical startup. Goddess Mel’s magical startup is dedicated to locating lost items for the eccentric townspeople. The game offers an immersive experience that’s sure to captivate players of all ages.
A World of Charm in Lost and Found Co
From the moment you start Lost and Found Co, you are transported to a beautifully crafted world reminiscent of childhood puzzle books like the Where’s Wally books. Lost and Found Co. also reminds me of another similar hidden object game series, Hidden Through Time.
Each locale in the game is brimming with vibrant colours and intricate details. The environments are not just backdrops but interactive spaces filled with hundreds of characters and objects waiting to be discovered.
Engaging Gameplay That Tests Your Observation Skills
The gameplay revolves around finding hidden objects scattered throughout the various scenes. You will have to find items hidden within bustling streets, busy cafes and overcrowded rooms. There is a large number of items you can interact with in each scene.
The challenge levels are my favourite. I found them engaging, offering hidden object experiences that will test even the most keen-eyed players. These levels provide a satisfying mix of difficulty and challenge, ensuring both casual players of all ages and hidden object veterans will find something to enjoy.
Each item you must find comes with a hint. However, there is also a unique hint system in Lost and Found Co, the Juju Hinting System. You must hunt for Juju ghosts in the scene; they can be found in objects that have lost their colour and then used to give you a second helpful hint on where to find a particular item.
Adventure with Endless Fun
Lost and Found Co has a single-player story campaign packed with dozens of levels. Each level is a new adventure, providing fresh environments and challenges.
The game, once released, will include bonus levels designed to push your observational skills to their limits. For those players who love customisation, you can decorate and personalise your office space, which adds a nice personal touch to the game.
Secrets and Surprises Await
Lost and Found Co. features an abundance of easter eggs and hidden surprises. As you help Ducky return lost items to their rightful owners, you’ll uncover secrets that add depth and richness to the game world. This attention to detail keeps the gameplay fresh and exciting, encouraging you to explore every nook and cranny.
While I liked the game’s music the first time I heard it, the one track is short, and its constant looping can get tedious if you’re stuck on a level for any length of time.
Final Thoughts
Lost and Found Co. demo is a lovely escape into a whimsical world filled with endless fun and discovery. With its charming visuals and engaging gameplay, it offers a delightful experience for players of all ages.
