Lunch making is an art.

The Art of Organisation in Lunch Box Ready

I love organising! Whether it’s in the form of planning, rearranging cupboards, or having books arranged alphabetically (surname first, naturally) – I love it all. It gives me a sense of achievement when something is neatly organised. How about organising some Lunch Boxes to aid in that overwhelming satisfaction?

Immerse yourself in the world of organising and become the best organiser you can be. In Lunch Box Ready, you’ll fill the fridge and prepare delicious desserts and tasty breakfasts. But that’s not all! You can also create a delightful, happy meal that will leave you feeling joyful and satisfied.

Meet Your Customers

Lunch Box Ready has an array of characters for you to meet, including a very needy ex (more on that later.) Whilst there isn’t much interaction between yourself and the customers you’ll serve, each will have a very different order for you to make up and organise.

You’ll earn coins for completing orders, which can be used to upgrade your kitchen and utensils, as well as the decor and design. You can also use coins to purchase new stickers to grace your lunchbox. I really liked this aspect of the game, but I feel the choices were a bit limited. In the end, I had unlocked every decor option, so my coins ended up just being hoarded, with no ability to spend them on anything new.

Revenge is sweet

Revenge is a Dish Best Served Cold

Remember that ex I mentioned earlier? Have you ever had an ex whom you’ve dreamt of getting revenge on for the wrongs they did to you? You can in Lunch Box Ready. I absolutely loved being able to put bugs in the exes’ burgers. I liked to imagine it was my ex who ruined my favourite Pokemon card. Yes, I still harbour resentment for that, and I’m 37 years old!

This is a serious sticky business.

Stick It

One of the unique features of Lunch Box Ready is the opportunity to decorate lunchboxes. Who doesn’t love a cute sticker, right? Personally, I have always had a fondness for stickers. During my school days, I would adorn my books with stickers of my favourite bands, much to the chagrin of my teachers. Even now, 25 years later, my love for stickers remains as strong as ever. Lunch Box Ready offers a wide selection of stickers for you to choose from, allowing you to personalize your customers’ lunch boxes in a fun and creative way. And if you want even more stickers, you can purchase them using your in-game coins.

Upgrade your decor

Upgrade Your Kitchen

In addition to creating delicious meals in Lunch Box Ready, another aspect of the game is being able to use coins to upgrade your kitchen decor and utensils. By playing and completing levels, you earn coins that can be used for these upgrades. Early on, upgrading is simple, but as you progress, the cost of upgrades increases. Eventually, you may find that you have purchased all available upgrades, stickers, plate decorations, and more, leaving your coins sitting idle.

A Note About Other Versions

Lunch Box Ready is also available for free on both Android and iOS with ads, or you can pay for the Nintendo Switch version which doesn’t have any ads at all. I haven’t played the Android or iOS version so I can’t attest to how many ads there actually are or if there is an in-app purchase to remove them.

Conclusion

Lunch Box Ready is a charming game that encourages players to embrace their inner organization skills. While the limited kitchen upgrades and repetitive customer interactions may hinder long-term engagement, it still offers a delightful experience for the short playtime. Though the potential for replayability may be lacking, there is still enjoyment to be found in managing your virtual lunch box business.

Lunch Box Ready can be purchased on the Nintendo eShop here.
