Woven Puzzle Guide: The Jungle (Chapter 4)

Some games just click: Woven is such a game. We had the pleasure of reviewing it and had a blast doing so. (you can find the review here)

Time to make a guide for the puzzles, Yvonne already wrote up the first chapters, now it’s my turn to list all the puzzles. You can find all the chapter guides here. Are you ready for Chapter 4?

We didn’t set out to make a fully fledged Walkthrough, but rather focus on the puzzles and where to find the Blueprint machines. If possible, we will direct you in the right direction to find what you need!

Lose yourself in the Jungle

Glitch starts this chapter without Stuffy. The poor stuffed animal got gobbled up by a giant beetle and taken into this green mass! Let’s explore: the patterns are in dragonfly plants this time, as well as on walls and floor. Nice tip: Stuffy tends to look at places where they are, even when he is walking! 

In this chapter there are to discover:

  • 4 Blueprint machines
  • 3 caves
  • 30 patterns
  • 5 Glitch’s memories

Try to retrace the path the beetle took. Go down the path to the right and scan a pattern named Hunter from a snake. Turn around and go down the path. Glitch finds a pond in his path with ferocious piranhas. Use Glitch’s light to scare off the fish, keep shining his light until you get to the other side of the pond.

Continue along the path, but watch the flesh eating plants that will attack Glitch (all they will find is metal!) When he is gobbled up, shining his light frees him. After the plants on the left is a pattern to scan, Azure

Follow the path until you come to a cave on the left with a row of green plants in front of it. After the cave carry on up the path and watch cut scene with a beetle.

Before you go down the windy path into the pit, go straight along the path to the dark end and you will find a pattern in the dark on the wall, Turquoise. Go down to rescue Stuffy. Take the windy path until the two friends are reunited. Use the blue print machine to get a pattern for Pelican and then return along the windy path. Pelican is an important pattern as you’ll need to sing!

Go to sewing machine and put the jumping legs on Stuffy. Exit the sewing machine and go left back along the path and scan the plant at the end for a pattern (Wild)  inside. Go past the plant you scanned on to a jump icon on the ground.

Follow the path avoiding the plants that will eat Glitch. Use his light to stop them or to free Glitch. Use the sewing machine and change Stuffy’s legs back to stomping legs, and change his head to the Pelican head, it gives Stuffy a large beak and more importantly, he can now sing.

Exit the machine and straight ahead is a plant to scan for a pattern Azure. Follow the path ahead to a cave.

The monkeys and the owl

Follow path back out and on the way back out of the cave there will be a small rat on the ground along the path somewhere scan it for pattern Obsidian. Go along the path and turn right  down to the 3 monkeys and scan one of them for the Sepia pattern.

From the monkeys go right and up a path off darker green grass  and scan the flower at the top for Space pattern and go  across an orange bridge which if you follow will lead you to a glitches memory machine.

Return via the path you took and across the bridge again.

Find the pillar with a banana sitting on top of it,  just to the right of the three monkeys and stand facing the pillar and the owl, when the owl sings use the birds voice to correspond with the same colours of notes the owl sings, in my case it was blue, blue, red.

The owl will fly over and lift the banana, now you have to lure the owl towards the monkeys by the same means, once the owl flys over to the monkeys move slightly away and lure the owl towards you by singing the same colours as the owl and in turn this moves the monkeys who block the path as they follow the owl and the banana.

Continue down the now open path. Two patterns in this area: one on the wall beside the path called Zebra and one up a narrow cut off path  on the left in a flower named mellow.

Further down the path hidden in the darkness on the left side facing a sewing machine  is another pattern Lapis to scan. Hard to see this one use glitches light if you need to!

Use the sewing machine and change the head of Stuffy to the elephant or anteater because you will need to make a sound.

Go down the path and across the pond the same way as before using glitch’s light to scare the fish away.

The Sleeping Sloth

Continue up the path and watch cut scene of a large sloth. 

Facing the sloth on the left side again hidden in the darkness is another pattern Steel, Move to the head of the sloth and use Stuffy’s voice to shout so the sloth rolls over. Do this twice so the sloth rolls away from the Blueprint machine. Use machine and get a blueprint of a frog.

Back-track to the sloths head and shout in his ear twice to get past his arms and move to the sloths feet and stomp Stuffy’s feet twice and the sloth will move its legs allowing you access to the next area. Walk down  the path and watch cut scene.

Once cut scene is over on the right on a slight hill of grass is another pattern Fresh, after scanning go along the path and turn slightly right through some trees were on the ground are some snakes, scan one for a pattern Scotty (what a lovely name for a pattern, in honour of Star Trek!) You might have to chase the snakes the get the pattern.

Head to the brown rocks behind the palm trees where the snakes are tucked in a corner is a pattern Leopard.

Walk up hill and keep left to find a green pattern Emerald on the ground near the pond for scanning. Turn around and take the right fork in the path which will lead you to a Glitch memory machine.

Retreat back along the path and follow the path though the palm trees that goes nearest the lake to find a plant on a tree on the right of the path to scan for pattern Egyptian. Go on past the plant you have scanned and follow the path until you come to a sewing machine.

Change Stuffy’s head to a birds head. Go back to the lake where you scanned the Emerald and you will find another owl floating above the lake, do the same as before and mimic it’s calls for me it was red, red, blue, red and lure the owl back towards were you just before used the sewing machine.

There are some brown rocks and a pillar on the left with a banana on top, the owl will lift the banana. You need to keep calling the owl the whole way around the lake to the pillar and banana. Once the owl has picked up the banana look behind you and there is a winding path made out of brown rocks going up.

Position Stuffy halfway up the path and call the owl again,  you need to lure the owl with the banana up to the three monkeys standing on the winding rock path and as before once the owl is near the monkeys lure the owl, banana and monkeys back down the windy path which in turn opens the path for Stuffy to climb up.

Continue along the green path at the top of the rocks. A pattern Electric on the right of the path and a blueprint machine at top of path. Use the Blueprint machine number 3 to get a monkey blueprint.

The Stuffed Animals village

Return down the path and go left  follow the path along past the pillar and sewing machine and under two arches in to another area.

A little at the back on the right you will find another memory machine for Glitch. Turn around and walk over to a tree you will find another pattern to scan on the ground …Amethyst.

Once you scan that pattern turn slightly right and go down in to the trees to find a pattern called Dad at the root of the tree.

Left after the tree and along the path is cave number 3 and the final one for this level.

Back track down the path sticking to right hand side and go up the path beside the spider and half a button in the ground, follow a long path up and down when the path has a sharp right turn. Take that turn which will lead you to a pattern on the right in the darkness to scan, pattern Fern. Well hidden this one in the darkness!

Return back along the path and turn right  to discover a Blueprint machine number 4. Remove the owl from the top of the blueprint machine as before use your voice to match the colours the owl sings, blue, red, green, green and blue, Once it flys up you can use the machine and receive a Doe.

Leave the blueprint machine by going left, change Stuffy’s legs at the sewing machine you come upon to jumping legs. 

Exit the machine and go left to follow the path up past the blue toadstools, take left path to find a pattern on the ground, smoky.

The Moth and the Jaguar

Backtrack to where you entered this path and go left and then right jump up and keep going right. Go down the path past the plant to be scanned, we come back to it soon…..Carry on down the path until you come to a green bridge just before the bridge on the right hand side on the brown rocks behind a trees is a pattern called Jungle fashion. (an important one later on!)

Turn around and fly across the green bridge and use the sewing machine to swap Stuffy’s legs back to stomping legs.

Fly back down to the path you came up and on the left is a plant to be scanned for a pattern Woods.

Follow the path on down, take two right hand paths and you will find a Glitch memory machine at the end of the path.

Back along the path sticking to the right hand side and take that path to find a flower with a Bubblegum pattern at the end of it in a plant. Back along the path you have just came along and make your way to the sewing machine you used earlier at the green bridge.

Under the bridge are some blue mushrooms and a large moth hovering over one of them, you have to shine glitches spot light (don’t use his brightest light) on each mushroom in turn to move the moth across and under the bridge to the far mushroom. I found this tricky to do, glitch’s spotlight must hit the mushroom otherwise the moth doesn’t move.

You can stand on the bridge to do most of this, once the moth is moved to the far mushroom beside a small ledge walk or fly Stuffy over to the moth were Glitch can scan the pattern called Vain off the moth.

After scanning the moth turn around and  continue up the path  see a Jaguar. A monkey will pop out of the bushes and annoy the Jaguar. While it’s chasing the monkey you can fly past and up the path to some rocks to find a pattern on the left which is called Jaguar funnily enough.

Return down the path using the same trick to avoid the Jaguar and back across the green wooden bridge to the sewing machine.

Change Stuffy to the Jaguar pattern you just received.  Back across the bridge and up to the Jaguar which should now follow Stuffy since he looks like a Jaguar and on up the path until you come to an arch with a monkey in the way, the Jaguar will kindly scare the monkey away leaving you to take a left to another pattern in a plant called basic.

Another fashionable snake

Head to the sewing machine behind you and change Stuffy to the jungle fashion pattern.

Once you do that exit the machine left and down the path and hill and meet the snake, since Stuffy is wearing the colours of the snake he moves out of the way carry on down the path to the river and scare the fish away using Glitch’s light as before and cross the river.

On the left is a plant with a pattern to scan called Rust.

Continue on down the path shine Glitch’s light to remove the vines blocking the path and carry on to find the last Glitch memory machine for this chapter.

Return along the path you walked down, back up the path across the river and back to the sewing machine and equip Stuffy with jumping legs. Turn right on leaving the machine and take the path under the second arch up past the pond. Follow the path up to find on the left a pattern called Gold.

On up the path and jump up using the ground icons carry on up the path and watch the cut scene during a long climb up.

After the cut scene carry on along the path until you reach some cogs on the ground use the jump icon and jump into the cog, standing in the cog use Glitch’s light to remove the vines covering the cog..

Our duo float up on the cog platform….watch cut scene.

Once the cog stops jump over to the next cog to carry on up the level….watch cut scene until they reach the top and get into the cart…exit the cart at the top.

Move forward along the path watch cut scene and return to the cart which ends this chapter.
