The time of year is near, so time for our first Christmas article of 2024! For Christmas this year (and frankly, every year), I always hope for a bunch of Steam gift cards so I can buy myself all the games on my Wishlist that I’ve been pining for over the year.
There are a lot of cozy Steam games coming to PC soon, and I hope to be able to play them all over the holiday season.
Cozy Games: House Flipper Dine Out DLC

I have played a lot of House Flipper and House Flipper 2 on my own, and I have all the DLC for the first game. I was super excited to hear about all the changes planned for the Dine Out DLC, and I can’t wait for this one to come around this holiday season. I have put a massive amount of hours into the first House Flipper, and I look forward to adding a bunch more hours to that pile.
Neko Odyssey

This cute little pixel art game is all about taking photos of little cats. That’s about it; this is 100% the type of game I want to play. There are a bunch of mini-games, a lot of cute kitties, and some of the most adorable artwork. I already love Neko Odyssey, and I haven’t even played it yet.
Asfalia: Fear

Asfalia is a family-friendly collection of point-and-click adventures that each centre around a different emotion. Fear looks like a great little game I can probably play with my niblings at the next family gathering; I’m not sure I’d play it on my own, but it seems like a great one for any of the kids you have that love games in your life.
Honeymancer

I got to play the demo of Honeymancer back in February 2023 for Ladies Gamers, and I remember having a lot of with it. The full game should be out soon, and I hope to get it on Steam this Christmas. The developers described it as a “cute RPG Farm Simulator with wave-based combat,” and I can’t think of a better description than that.
UFO 50

UFO 50 is actually made of 50 different games. Hidden in some of those games are clues to figuring out the mystery behind the whole thing. It’s got everything from rogue likes to chess-like games. It’s amazing how much effort the developers put into each and every game. I watched a streamer play some of UFO 50, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it for myself.
A Short Hike

I have played quite a bit of A Short Hike on my PlayStation 5, but it was recently added to Archipelago Randomizer. This is a cross-world randomizer platform that allows you to play randomized games across worlds, games, and online with your friends. I play a whole lot of Final Fantasy 1 when I do randos with my buddies, but adding a new game to my normal rotation sounds like a wonderful idea. I need to get it on my PC to be able to do so, though.
Albatroz

Albatroz is a “backpacking adventure RPG that will take you through majestic landscapes” while you search for your sibling. I cannot wait to play this game; it looks gorgeous and like a lot of fun, so I hope to get it for Christmas as well.
