January 2026 eShop Sales

With hundreds of games on sale, it can be difficult to know where to start looking! Not all the games listed here are on sale in all the regions, so check your local eShop. Also, make sure you check the end date of the discount, as it varies per game.

January 2026 eShop Sales

For the January 2026 eShop Sales, we’ve focused on games which are less than a fiver (be that $5, £5 or € 5), all of which received either our golden ‘Two Thumbs Up’, or our sparkling ‘I Like it a Lot’. If your budget stretches slightly more, we’ve got some ‘worthy mentions’ to consider.

As there are a few days left in the Nintendo Holiday Sale (Europe and other regions), we’ve also included a few of our top games, which are half price or better.

A Juggler’s Tale

A Juggler’s Tale LadiesGamers

Lead Abby the string puppet through a grim fairy tale world, while you solve riddles, evade traps, and shake off pursuers.

Paula didn’t get tangled when she played A Juggler’s Tale:

A Juggler’s Tale certainly ticks all my boxes as a gamer. A good story, wonderful artwork, sound effects and music. The story of a young girl taking her destiny into her own hands in a bid for freedom, it is full of empowerment and hope. It’s also about persevering and continually trying to move forward with her dreams when all else fails.
I wholeheartedly recommend you play A Juggler’s Tale, and let it give your heartstrings a pull.

Destiny Connect: Tick-Tock Travelers

Take History by the Hand, Together.

Destiny Connect: Tick-Tock Travelers played like clockwork for Yvonne

Often in video games you see a promotion for the game based on the cutscenes, that are cinematic in quality. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Destiny Connect looks ace too in the normal gameplay. Almost the same quality, the character move lifelike and are controlled easily. The camera can be a bit too eager even, swinging up and down. But you can lock the vertical movement too if you want.

The music and sounds in the game are great, the mystery of what’s happening begs to be investigated. The gameplay is appealing and fun. The writing is entertaining and sometimes funny. What’s not to like about Tick-Tock-Travelers?

I really enjoyed my time playing Destiny Connect. This is the kind of RPG I love. Cute looking but great battles. Lots to tinker with in equipment and skills. An interesting story and lovable characters.

Which is why I’m giving it an I Like it a Lot.

Down in Bermuda

Overcome creatures of the deep and unravel the island’s secrets in search of a way back home.

Paula loved solving the puzzles Down in Bermuda

The only complaint I have about Down in Bermuda is you can’t see all of the island when you zoom out. But that’s down to the size of the screen on the Switch in handheld mode and not necessarily the games fault.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the puzzles in Down in Bermuda, there are just the right kind of difficulty. Enough of a challenge to give you a feeling of satisfaction once you have completed them. Hunting down the orbs is entertaining as you search everywhere for all of them. And for that, I give it our highest praise!

DROS

Explore the Tower, meet its strange inhabitants, collect alchemical treasures, and discover twists around every corner.

DROS wasn’t dross for Paula!

DROS is a fun and enjoyable game. I had a blast with the gameplay and puzzled my way to the exits. It is a timeless tale of two characters joining forces and discovering their similarities, and it is well executed. The combination of stealthy manoeuvres as you play as Dros and then the brute force of the Captain, all paired with great presentation, makes this game a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Fall of Porcupine

New jobs can be tense – especially when you’re about to become a doctor! Join Finley on an original narrative adventure as you take your first steps in a fresh and exciting world.

Kalina enjoyed her time in the wards in Fall of Porcupine

Some people complained about Fall of Porcupine being uneven tonally. I don’t feel like that. The game looks light-hearted, but the topic is a resident caring for patients in a derelict hospital. For what it’s worth, I think that the tonal switches were handled beautifully. There is warmth, fairness, and humanity in the relationship between the characters, and for that alone, I recommend Fall of Porcupine.

Luna’s Fishing Garden

Promotional image for Luna's Fishing Garden showing a character fishing. Published on LadiesGamers

Luna’s Fishing Garden is a short, cozy fishing and building game. Catch fish, trade it in and create the garden of your dreams!

James went fishing in Luna’s Fishing Garden

Luna’s Fishing Garden doesn’t reinvent things when it comes to game design. But the game’s strength lies in its heart. The entire time I played this game I smiled at Cassie’s adorable face when she caught a fish. I also felt so relaxed playing this experience. This game might just be the current equivalent of video game meditation. No challenge, just a good feeling guaranteed through its simple, short but lovely experience.

My Little Universe

Go above and beyond the cosmos!

Paula launched into reviewing My Little Universe

I’ve had a blast with My Little Universe; it is a cosy worldbuilding collect-a-thon. It urges the player to explore further and discover what is on the next hex. My Little Universe is a wholesome, relaxing game for those who want the thrill of exploring and collecting infinite resources. Suitable for all ages in the family, it also has a very addictive gameplay loop and watching Orangey go to work and swing his tools is brilliant; I wish I had his energy!

Nuclear Blaze

Title for Nuclear Blaze with a firefighter in red with a large fireball behind them. Published on: LadiesGamers

Nuclear Blaze is a dynamic 2D Action game in which the player plays as a firefighter air-dropped in the middle of a mysterious burning facility.

James jumped into action for LadiesGamers:

I really liked Nuclear Blaze. On its surface, it seems like a pretty standard platformer. But this is a game that doesn’t waste the player’s time. There was never a moment where I felt bored or felt the mechanics had outstayed their welcome. The game’s pace feels spot-on, keeping levels tight to the point and adding new abilities at the right spot. Even the difficulty is just the right challenge to keep you hooked without becoming overly frustrating. This was a game I didn’t want to put down. It set my heart ablaze, and I could not recommend it enough for all audiences
