I’m sure developer Loftur Studio from Valencia Spain had a little party last night. Their Kickstarter campaign to bring video game Kofi Quest to life, has been a success. And they didn’t just meet the threshold, they managed to reach three stretch goals as well.
€42.087 was funded, by 1.471 backers. And because they far surpassed their goal of € 30.000 the following stretch goals were added:
- New Slingshot mini game
- New console retro game
- Secret combat units

A humorous approach to questing
Kofi Quest: Alpha MOD, the full title of the game, combines action RPG and RTS (real time strategy). In this video game you’ll find no mythic heroes, no heartbreaking background story that formed your protagonist into the serious martyr he or she is. No sense of duty that goes against all odds. Instead it will be your job of going on a quest with a character that would rather lol about. Plus, everyone in the game is aware that this is where they are: in a game.
