Premise
In Mystery of Myths: Whisper of Depth Collector’s Edition, we play as investigator Elijah Reed, who is sent to France to look into a series of impossible deaths, and instead uncovers traces of an ancient legend, tied to the sea – a forgotten princess, a sunken city, and a haunting voice that lingers beneath the waves.

Gameplay
Mystery of Myths: Whisper of Depth Collector’s Edition is a narrative-driven hidden object adventure game. We have a well-thought-out story that allows us to visit several detailed locations. We have a nice mix of hidden-object scenes and mini-games to entertain us. The hidden object scenes also vary – we have the classic type where we have a list ot items to find and more novel types where we need to match pairs of objects.
The mini games are also different and have two difficulty settings we can switch between in-game. We can also skip the mini games once the skip button has recharged. And speaking of buttons, Mystery of Myths: Whisper of Depth Collector’s Edition also has a rechargeable hint button. The game has a map for fast travel to unlocked locations and a diary to consult for an overview of where we are in the story so far.

Another portion of the game is a classic point-and-click adventure in which we find useful items, store them in our inventory, and use them whenever possible. Here, we see an oft-seen problem with games of the genre – overcomplicating things like opening doors and oversimplifying solutions like hiding some very large and bulky machine in a very small place, because it will help us in some ridiculous way to open a door.
Because the storyline is somewhat mystical, our investigator uses modern detective methods as well as arcane tools at his disposal. It’s a fun twist on the classic detective games.
Mystery of Myths: Whisper of Depth Collector’s Edition has in-game and Steam achievements, collectables, but no Trading cards yet. The collector’s edition offers us some extra mini-games, but not the content update that came out as DLC.
Mystery of Myths: Whisper of Depth Collector’s Edition has a demo available on its Steam page. The game has basic audio and video settings.

Conclusion
Mystery of Myths: Whisper of Depth Collector’s Edition is a nice hidden-object adventure game that follows the familiar framework of the genre. It’s pleasant enough, and the story is engaging, so if you like this type of game, you’ll probably like Mystery of Myths: Whisper of Depth Collector’s Edition too.
Final Verdict: I Like it
