Today, we had the pleasure of watching an Indie World Showcase! So many surprises with 6 (!) games launching in the eShop today! Let’s see what goodies await us!
Spiritfarer
Wow, now this looks like my kind of management game! Spiritfarer looks so sweet. Here’s the story:
You play Stella, ferrymaster to the deceased, a Spiritfarer. Build a boat to explore the world, then befriend and care for spirits before finally releasing them into the afterlife. Farm, mine, fish, harvest, cook, and craft your way across mystical seas. Join the adventure as Daffodil the cat, in two-player cooperative play. Spend relaxing quality time with your spirit passengers, create lasting memories, and, ultimately, learn how to say goodbye to your cherished friends.
Spiritfarer is already in the eShop today!

Takeshi & Hiroshi
Another game that launches on the Switch today! RPG Takeshi & Hiroshi looks sweet, it combines the two worlds of puppet animation and Role Playing Game. It tells the story of two brothers and their daily life. The 14-year-old Takeshi, a game designer to-be, is creating a game for his weak little brother Hiroshi who always wants to play the next chapter of the game as soon as possible.
As the game is still in the making, Takeshi has to improvise and secretly plays some of the monster roles himself. It is Takeshi’s goal to make Hiroshi really enjoy his game, let him meet big challenges, but preferably to prevent him from losing. He has to choose which monsters shall appear when and struggles more and more as the challenge for him as a game creator becomes increasingly difficult.
Raji: an Ancient Epic
And yet another one that releases today? Oh my, where will we find the time to play all this?
Inspired by Indian mythologies such as Mahabharata and Ramayana and by the medieval architecture of Rajasthan, Raji: An Ancient Epic is said to bring a refreshing new style to the action-adventure scene.
In this story of two siblings Raji and Golu are sister and brother who have been separated by the attacking demonic hordes and now find themselves in the middle of the great war. Raji has taken it upon herself to find her brother and put an end to this reckless war. However, this can only happen if she manages to break down the might and stratagem devised by the great lord of demons, Mahabalasura.
Every corner of the game’s environment is drawn in the Pahari art style and combines hand-painted textures, rendered in 3D And I must say, it really looks very good!

A Short Hike
Launching later today as well: head out on A Short Hike on a mountain park. Follow the marked trails or explore the backcountry as you make your way to the summit. Along the way, meet other hikers, discover hidden treasures, and take in the world around you.
Explore the island any way you like. Choose your own path to follow and see where it leads you. You never know what you might stumble into! Hike at your own pace – there’s no need to rush to the summit! Take your time fishing along the river banks or swimming by the lakeshore.
Collect hidden treasures to reach new heights. Try taking a dive off the mountain peaks to soar above the forests. Chat with the other hikers you meet along your route. You might be able to help each other out!
All the while you can listen to the original soundtrack by Mark Sparling, made specifically for A Short Hike.

Manipulate gravity to change your perspective and see the world in new ways. Master the rules of the universe and restore a barren world with vegetation and life.
Evergate
It’s really amazing how many titles are coming to the eShop today as a surprise launch. Evergate is yet another one!

In this simulator you scour Hypnospace’s wide variety of weird and wonderful websites to hunt down wrongdoers, while also keeping an eye on your inbox, avoiding viruses and adware, and downloading a plethora of apps that may or may not be useful.

Hypnospace Outlow is coming to Switch on 27th August
Hades coming this Autumn
Roguelike dungeon crawler Hades from Supergiant Games is coming to Switch this Autumn. You play as the Prince of the Underworld, trying to escape hell and the God of the Dead. And each time you die, you start over again. Not exactly the game for me, as I’m seriously bad at real life action games, but I’m pretty sure some of our writers will enjoy it.

Torchlight III
It’s been centuries since the events of Torchlight II, and the Ember Empire is in decline. In Torchlight III, Novastraia is again under threat of invasion and it’s up to you to defend against the Netherim and its allies. Gather your wits and brave the frontier to find fame, glory, and a new adventure!
Explore the wilderness, party with friends, use magical maps to enter unknown dungeons, or show off your spoils in town! There’s always something to do in the Frontier.
With four classes to choose from, utilize class-specific mechanics to maximize your damage and your odds of survival. Gather epic gear and customize your load out to work with your hero’s unique make-up.
I think all of this should amount to many hours of gameplay!

Garden Story
Picogram brought this sweet looking game to life: Garden Story is a wholesome action adventure game. You play as a grape (never thought I’d be a grape!)
Concord, the youngest grape in The Grove, is now a Guardian, and it’s their job to help restore the island. That’s a lot to shoulder for a grape barely off the vine… and more than a few inhabitants are skeptical they have what it takes. Fortunately, Concord has friends like Elderberry, Rana, and Fuji on their side! With their help, you can take on the dangerous Rot and find ways to encourage other residents to assist in the efforts.
Garden Story is expected in 2021.
Subnautica
More than two years after its first launch the beloved survival adventure Subnautica is coming to Switch. Not only that, but the sequel, Subnautica: Below Zero, will also find its way to the Switch in early 2021.
In Subnautica from Unknown Worlds Entertainment, your spacecraft has crashed on a remote ocean planet and as the lone survivor, it’s your mission to explore the depths to collect resources and craft tools that will help you stay alive. Below Zero takes these same concepts, but instead of going underwater, so find yourself in a snow world.

Card Shark
Card Shark is a game set in 18th century France, with the goal to win hand after hand on your way to the highest-stakes games imaginable. However, you’re far from an honorable player, as the best way to win is to cheat. Your goal is to ascend all the way from the parlor to the king’s table as you build up your array of tricks. As you get better and win more, you’ll reach higher-stakes games. But beware, you definitely don’t want to get caught, as the trailer shows a disgruntled player drawing a gun on you upon the revelation that you’ve been up to no good.

Wow! I feel spoiled just looking at this list. What gorgeous art Card Shark has, and everything else looks incredible as well.
