Pictective is a 2025 puzzle game, developed and released by Noobzilla.

The Premise of Pictective
In Pictective we join Doma, a curious little cat who’s just started training to become a detective, on its quest to catch naughty Oyen and to solve a series of picture-matching challenges to prove its skills.

The Gameplay of Pictective
We have 12 photo categories, with 9 fun photos in each. Each picture is some kind of landscape – a busy city, a garden, a shop, a harbour, a Christmas scene and so on. When we choose a picture from the category, the game will tell us where it is – France, Japan, etc. Each level has the same set-up. We have the landscape in the middle of the screen and elements of the picture on the side. We have to find the elements within the big picture. For that to happen, we can zoom in and out of the picture, and we have hints that we win with each level.

Some Other Things
Pictective has basic audio and video settings. The game allows us to play each level in colored or sepia mode. The game has Steam achievements, but no trading cards. You can try a demo of the game here.
Conclusion
Pictective is a charming mini-game inviting you to discover the world and test your memory. Its bite-sized levels make it a perfect little game for in-between work tasks.
Final Verdict: I Like it.
