A new update has just arrived for Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown on Steam, and it brings a fan-favourite ship along for the ride. Patch 1.7 is now live on PC, introducing the iconic Delta Flyer as a free addition for all players, with a console release planned for early June.
Welcome Aboard the Delta Flyer
If you’ve been hoping to pilot the Delta Flyer, now’s your chance. The ship can be built in the Shuttlebay and comes with its own dedicated questline featuring Tom Paris in Sector 7.
You’ll also find:
- New construction mechanics tied to the Delta Flyer
- A combat ally role that won’t reduce or split your rewards
- Extra story branches added to existing quests, including Old Friends, New Enemies, The Drone, and Uprising
This means you can revisit familiar missions with fresh options and story paths, giving you more reasons to dive back in.

Quality-of-Life Improvements and Fixes
Patch 1.7 isn’t just about new content—it also focuses on improving the overall experience. According to the official announcement, the update includes:
- An overhauled bridge user interface
- PlayStation gamepad support on PC
- Fixes for several major questlines
- Improvements to stability, including crash and save game fixes
These updates aim to make your time in the Delta Quadrant smoother and more enjoyable.
LadiesGamers’ Thoughts
I reviewed the game on Switch a few weeks ago and loved my time playing it. In conclusion I can say that Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown is lovingly tailored for Star Trek fans, who already have an inkling of how a starship works and who love travelling with their favourite characters. It might be daunting at first when this is your first encounter with Star Trek, but I think it’s a great game for all fans of strategic management games. The different play-modes even give the possibility to play it in a more laid-back fashion, but be prepared that the random chance outcome might still cause you to see the Game Over screen.
