Upcoming Steam Games August 2025

Welcome. It’s time to look at the Upcoming Steam Games in August 2025 that we have on our radar. However, aside from our Upcoming Steam Games, if you play on Nintendo Switch, we also have an Upcoming Switch and Switch 2 Games article.

Upcoming Steam Games

Furthermore, not all games to be released are on the list here. Alternatively, you will see games that the other gaming sites don’t mention. We are taking notice of these games, and you can expect reviews for many of them if given half a chance! It should be noted that unless we have some personal experience with the game, there’s a link to the descriptions on the Steam website.

The Organized Capy God August 1st

The Organized Capy God is a relaxing game in which you help a friendly capybara organize all his items while trying to reunite with his family. Once everything is in order, Capy God will ask you for certain items to fill the world he was creating. But don’t worry! There are no timers, meters or scores. You can take as much time as you like to group items in the way you prefer. There’s something strangely peaceful about sorting items, give it a try!

Kalina review The Organized Capy God and said in her conclusion:

The Organized Capy God is a chill little puzzle game. The story is heartfelt, and you can play and stop at any time. If you like organizing and matching games, you might like The Organized Capy God.

MakeRoom – August 7th

MakeRoom is an adorable sandbox building game. Learn the ropes with guided design requests, then use more than 1,000 objects to flex your interior design skills. Unlock your imagination with the custom furniture creation tool. What will you make? Whether it’s a cosy room for cats, a moody hideaway for a vampire, or a compact camper van, the choice is yours!

Mina reviewed MakeRoom and said in her conclusion:

If you like decorating games that have very little guidance and won’t tell you what to do, MakeRoom is a perfect game for you. It’s cozy, it’s aesthetic, and the vibes are on point. I had no issues with the game really, and I think there are loads of creative types out there who would love this game a lot.

I can’t recommend MakeRoom enough. It’s almost perfect, and I look forward to playing it again once the community has had the opportunity to make a bunch more items and put them up for others to download and play with.

Out and About – August 7th

A cosy foraging adventure about the magic of real-life plants! Identify and gather wild plants and fungi, cook tasty recipes, master herbal remedies, and rebuild your community after a devastating storm.

Mina went foraging in the Early Access version of Out and About.

It’s really hard to state how perfect a game Out and About really is. It’s well-planned; you can see each detail was considered with care. The sound design is relaxing and beautiful, the plants are detailed and recognizable as real plants, and the run/walk cycle of the main character is so incredibly charming. Passion for the project really leaks out of every pore of the game, and it’s hard to overstate how wonderful an an experience it is.

I think my own real complaint is how shallow the NPCs seem to feel. They aren’t really the main focus of the story of Out and About, so it’s hard to get too upset about it, but all the characters kind of feel very flat. They don’t have voices of their own, but that’s easy to overlook given how the rest of the game has been playing out.

After taking a look at the Kickstarter page, I recognize that it doesn’t quite look like it was promised to be, and some promised features seem to be missing, so hopefully there is more to come. However, I can’t imagine a better, more polished, or more fun educational game that can teach all ages about some important facts about the natural world around you. And this is still Early Access which bodes well for Out and About in future! There is a lot to learn here, and I cannot praise it enough.

Discounty – August 21st

Manage your own discount supermarket! Get caught up in small-town drama, organise and plan your shop’s layout, and strike lucrative trade deals as you expand your secretive aunt’s business empire. Selling more frozen fries will surely heal this broken community…right?

Step into the quirky harbour town of Blomkest, where your aunt has entrusted you with managing its only supermarket. Design and organise your shop, manage stock levels, work the checkout, and strike trade deals. Build relationships with the charming locals, and grow your business empire while navigating community dynamics. Use every tool at your disposal to expand your business, but be mindful: rapid growth might ruffle a few feathers in this tight-knit community. Will you pursue endless profits, or find a way to benefit everyone in Blomkest?

Lynne reviewed Discounty on the Switch and concluded:

Discounty is more than a shop simulator. It’s a clever and humorously written story, where you play through the main goals and tasks to fulfil Aunt Tellar’s expansion plans and expose the mysteries in Blomkest. Yes, you can just run the shop, but trying to become a real supermarket and finding out about the dysfunctional town is where the game really shines.

STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar – August 27th

Zephyr Town’s bazaar was once one of the grandest in the world, drawing customers and peddlers from all four corners of the globe. These days, though, the bazaar has more tumbleweeds than customers. It’s up to you to turn its fortunes around! Raise animals, harvest crops, craft rare delicacies, then sell your wares at your very own stall in the bazaar.

As the bazaar business grows, new goods and services will arrive, which you can use to improve your farm. Help return prosperity to the bazaar, and Zephyr Town will thrive once again!

Inspired by the classic handheld title, the new STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar builds up and improves on the original in every conceivable way. The world is bigger and more alive than ever, thanks to incredible new visuals, new characters, expanded story, and full character voice work in story events—a series first. Take advantage of Zephyr Town’s unique weather, using the wind to make travel and farm tasks a breeze! The winds of change are coming to deliver your new life in STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar.

Yvonne got farming in STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar on the Switch, concluding:

Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is every bit as fun as I remembered from the original and more. Managing my products to have a weekly smashing bazaar is addictive and most weeks I can’t wait for Saturday to roll by. All the other elements of a good farming sim are there, even socialising feels more fleshed out than in the DS game.

If you’re a fan of farming sims and the management part of a game appeals to you, this is one to go for, whether you played the original or not. For this isn’t just a remake, it feels like a new game!
