We are taking notice of these games, and you can expect reviews for many of them if given half a chance! It should be noted that unless we have some personal experience with the game, there’s a link to the descriptions on the Steam website.
Farmaiga – November 1st
Marvellous and Hiro Mashima team up to present a brand-new adventure full of frantic monster combat and rewarding farming simulation
Command an army of monsters in this all-new action game featuring character designs by famed manga artist Hiro Mashima. Take a stand to free the people of Felicidad as a Farmagia named Ten when monster farming, adventure, and hectic battles come together.
I checked out Farmagia, and liked it a lot, writing in conclusion:
With its mix of creature collection, strategic monster battles, and farming mechanics, Farmagia offers a unique experience for RPG fans. Despite its performance hiccups and dense tutorials, it has charm, though not every player will enjoy the fighting aspect of the gameplay. If you’re willing to push through the initial learning curve and forgive the occasional slowdown, Farmagia provides an experience worth investing in.
Reindeer Story – November 1st
When Jack Frost infiltrates Santa’s Workshop and steals the 6 Grand Presents, the fate of the season hangs in the balance! Join the Red-nosed Reindeer Lux and his friends in their struggle to defeat Jack Frost’s forces and prevent an Eternal Winter!
In this cool adventure RPG, Fight foes in frantic turn-based battles with real-time elements and action commands! Saddle up! Collect equipment and magical baubles to boost your party’s stats and unlock new skills in battle!
Make use of your Reindeer abilities in the overworld to run and jump as you explore the settings. Solve puzzles using your magical red nose to fire lasers or charge with your antlers to break straight through obstacles!
Margaret travelled with the Reindeer and liked the game, writing in conclusion:
Reindeer Story is the sort of game meant for people who enjoy very old-school RPGs and who want to support new developers who put a lot of very visible effort into something they genuinely care about doing. It’s far from a perfect game; its deliberate archaicness is going to make it feel sluggish and even difficult for some newer gamers, and there are occasional minor errors like misspelt or badly wrapped text.
The game’s biggest draw is its charming story, which starts from some familiar but copyright-safe origins and then begins to spread into the sillier mythos of Christmas.
Mirthwood – November 6th
Mirthwood Is an enchanting RPG life sim that features a rich, fully realised world with gorgeous hand-drawn graphics, immersive sound effects, and an original musical score. Explore an open world comprised of six diverse regions and three distinct towns, with much to discover – and uncover. Battle Storms, Winter, & Disease with survival-lite elements as you progress through a fascinating world.

Mirthwood has the makings of a very good life sim game. It heavily reminds me in the best possible way of Echoes of Plum Grove, another fantasy life sim RPG that I reviewed this year. If you love crafting and adventuring, the freedom to choose your own path, a beautiful and unique art style, great music, and attention to detail, I think you’ll love Mirthwood.
Trash Goblin – November 6th
Trash Goblin is a wholesome and cosy shopkeeping game in which you uncover and clean trinkets for sale! Customise them by upcycling and more to meet the eccentric requests of your endless colourful customers. Spend your savings to upgrade your shop, buy new and better tools, and even expand your business to exciting new districts across town.
Kalina wrote an early access impressions article for Trash Goblin and had this to say:
Trash Goblin is a delightfully relaxing, cosy puzzle game that will keep you busy and productive for at least a couple of hours. It’s a great addition to the pile of games for the cold months ahead!
Planet Coaster 2 – November 6th

I reviewed Planet Coaster 2 and had this to say:
Overall, Planet Coaster 2 builds on everything fans loved about the original while adding new layers of creativity and depth. After a few more updates to fine-tune the game and controls, it will be a worthy successor to Planet Coaster.
For me and many players, the game shines as a sandbox for your imagination, allowing you to craft the theme park of your dreams with an overwhelming array of tools and options.
Magical Bakery – November 7th
Experience a life full of magic, challenges, and the joy of creating sweets that will leave a spellbinding impression on your customers. Become the ultimate magical baker and prove yourself worthy to inherit the Magical Bakery!
Lynne reviewed Magical Bakery and said this in her conclusion:
Magical Bakery is a cooking-themed, time-management simulation with more than a spoonful of magic sprinkled about. It has some different elements from other games in the same genre and an intriguing background story that makes you want to cook more just to find out what it’s all about.
There is a good balance between buying, selling, and upgrading in Magical Bakery, which means progressing doesn’t feel like a grind. Various options allow for a stress-free experience if necessary.
Unrailed 2: Back on Track – November 7th
The chaotic co-op railroad construction game is back! Team up with your friends to build a railroad through procedurally generated worlds with new biomes and bosses. Permanently upgrade your character and engine, even create your own levels – just don’t let your train derail!
Tetris Forever – November 12th

It strikes a perfect balance between nostalgia and innovation, offering something for both longtime fans like myself and newcomers to the series. With its charming presentation, engaging combat, and timeless story, Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is a shining example of why this series remains a cornerstone of the genre; I love it!

It’s been six years since the first game surprised us. Home Bear Studio has been hard at work making the sequel NAIRI: Rising Tide another wonderful entry. So much attention to detail, giving instructions and hints in beautiful drawings. Lovely hand-drawn scenes and relatable characters. Wonderfully intricate puzzles and a storyline that could easily carry the story by itself.
I love this game so much that I decided to buy the first one on Switch at a very attractive price as well. If you love puzzles combined with a great story, go for NAIRI: Rising Tide!
Petit Island – November 14th
Welcome to the beautiful and tropical Petit Island! Relive your grandpaw’s youthful adventures by exploring the island and meeting all the unique islanders in this heartwarming, open-world narrative exploration game.
Grandpaw was once a brave, adventurous cat with many tales to tell. Now, as his memories fade, all that remains is the story he told to his beloved grandchild Lily and some in his old journal, which has recently been discovered. It is time for you, as Lily, to go on your own quest to relive Grandpaw’s adventures and uncover new ones! Can you help Grandpaw remember his past?
Lynne reviewed Petit Island and said this:
Petit Island is a charming story of friendship and hope. There are moments of sadness and joy as Lily ventures around the picturesque islands, with the music balancing the gameplay beautifully.
I would have liked Petit Island a lot if not for the software crashes during the final chapter, which spoilt my overall enjoyment. Hopefully, the developers will be able to rectify this quickly.
Little Big Adventure – Twinsen’s Quest – November 14th
Step into Twinsun’s fantastical world in this action-adventure remake! Little Big Adventure – Twinsen’s Quest brings brand new visuals, new music by the original composer, and smoother gameplay to the iconic classic released back in 1994.
Twinsen is back in this remake featuring a new stylish makeover and modernized gameplay. Faithful to the original game, Little Big Adventure – Twinsen’s Quest takes you on an epic journey on a small planet harbouring both magic and technology.
Kalina reviewed Little Big Adventure – Twinsen’s Quest and said this in her conclusion:
Little Big Adventure: Twinsen’s Quest is a fun, somewhat clunky rerun of an old classic. It has its positives and its negatives, but even purely for nostalgia’s sake, I was more than happy to try it out. I was a bit disappointed by the controls and speed of the game, but hopefully, the developers will address that soon.
6-Sided Stories – November 20th
A short and cosy puzzler with chill lofi beats: flip the puzzle pieces and colour them correctly to reveal the full picture! Discover how each image leads into the next, following a crew of adorable animals as they make friends and have wholesome adventures.
I reviewed 6-Sided Stories and said this in my conclusion;
Whether you’re a fan of puzzlers or Lofi music or in need of a dose of cuteness and relaxation, 6-Sided Stories is well worth your time. It’s a simple, heartwarming adventure that leaves you with a smile and maybe a newfound love for charming, low-pressure puzzles. Highly recommended!

Billy Saves the World – November
A narrative-driven platformer that lets you choose between action or adventure. After letting his girlfriend down for the last time, Billy is swiftly dumped on his second anniversary. While moping home alone in the rain, a mysterious portal swallows Billy up and abandons him on a distant planet.
Here, Billy will learn to become the dependable person he should have always been. Oh, and he’ll also uncover an ancient alien prophecy and save the world, too.
Billy Saves the World is a comedic, sci-fi love story that spans time and space. It is inspired by the whimsy of Monkey Island and Futurama and was written, directed, and designed by award-winning filmmaker Cooper Bibaud.
