Civilization VII Announced!
You can imagine Paula is overjoyed and eager for more news: Civilization VII is announced for 2025. Not much more info is available now, but the full reveal of details is coming this August. For now, enjoy the teaser trailer:
Second Premium Expansion for A Little to the Left
Seeing Stars is the second premium expansion for the cosy clean-up puzzler A Little to the Left and will be released on June 25th. We are big fans of the game, so we are really looking forward to this!
Seeing Stars emphasizes multiple solutions, allowing you to collect up to 100 stars while discovering various ways to tidy up the house. With 38 new levels, players can fold, flap, crush, join, stick, bounce, stack, strum, and lovingly smash their way through puzzles that range from simple to challenging. Look out for some extra cute visitors making an appearance, too!
You can enjoy this expansion on all formats A Little to the Left is on, including Steam and the Switch. Additionally, on June 25th, all A Little to the Left players will receive an upgraded hints system, providing in-game hints for every possible solution across all existing puzzles, regardless of whether they purchase the DLC.
Release Date The Star Names EOS
We’ve mentioned The Star Named EOS before in our news, but now we have a release date: July 23rd! The game will be released on Steam, Switch, PS5 and Xbox.
Developed by Silver Lining Studio, known for Behind the Frame, this narrative journey features a young photographer uncovering the truth of his mother’s absence and rediscovering the world’s beauty through his camera lens.
Squeakross: Home Squeak Home Announced
Well, this is special: a game that combines a logic nonogram puzzle, house decoration, and…rodents! Alblune is the small indie game development studio behind this upcoming game. The people behind Alblune, Alexandre Stroukoff and Luka Lescuyer, are obsessed with rodents and can’t help but include their furry friends in their games.
They released their first game, The Spirit and the Mouse, in 2022, a game that Paula loved and gave it our highest rating! With several cat lovers in our writer’s team, I wonder how this game will go down!
In Squeakross: Home Squeak Home, you solve and transform puzzles into furniture to decorate the perfect home for your rodent friend. The game features hundreds of puzzles, each one rewarding the player with a piece of furniture or a costume they can use. Your rodent will also interact with all the furniture you place in your home.
Second Expansion for DREDGE: The Iron Rig
The Iron Rig, the second premium expansion for DREDGE, is set to launch on August 15th. Priced at $11.99/€11.99/£11.99, this expansion will be available on all consoles, including Steam and Nintendo Switch.
You will revisit every area from the base game, a game James reviewed and loved, giving it our highest rating. Working with the Ironhaven Corporation, you build a formidable base of operations. This involves collecting resources to unlock new tiers of equipment, abilities, gadgets, and consumables. The Iron Rig also introduces a new tier of fishing equipment, new characters, hazards, world events, and lore, enhancing the DREDGE adventure with fresh challenges and discoveries.
A dark liquid begins to seep into familiar and once-safe areas of the game, transforming them into perilous zones. You must carefully assess the impact of this mysterious substance on local fish species, unveiling peculiar specimens from the abyssal depths and adding more than 50 new fish to the game’s encyclopaedia.
Enchanting New Farming Sim Among the Wild
Nuggets Entertainment, a new indie studio formed by veterans, leads, and co-founders of Coffee Stain, has unveiled its debut game, Among the Wild. This first-person farming and exploration game will invite you to discover, care for, and connect with a variety of quirky creatures while building the farm of your dreams. No date yet, a Closed Alpha is planned on Steam for later this year and an Early Access launch to follow.
In Among the Wild, players can wrangle and nurture diverse creatures, learning about their diets, behaviours, and needs to help them thrive. These creatures’ abilities can be harnessed to improve the farm, embark on adventures, evolve new species, or simply trade for profit. The farming experience is entirely customizable, allowing players to plant crops, construct bee hives, smokers, and fermenting barrels to meet their needs. Taming the wilderness, players can design croplands, pens, gardens, and houses, juggling the tasks of herding, cooking, crafting, and trading.
Exploration is a key part of the game, as you venture into the wild to gather resources, catch creatures, and fend off threats. Activities like fishing, mining for precious gems, completing quests for unique rewards, and interacting with characters will reveal more about the game’s strange world.
Weird Farming Meets Silly Physics in Southfield
Radical Forge is thrilled to announce that the physics-based farming simulator Southfield, will launch into Steam Early Access on June 24th, 2024.
Southfield offers a unique approach to farming, blending Radical Forge’s trademark humour and joy with the beloved genre. Combine chaotic crops with unpredictable effects, build your dream farmstead, and experiment with playful machinery. Wobble your way around an ever-changing island and unearth its secrets.
In this Early Access release, you will discover over 60 crops to farm and combine in exciting new ways. The game features an expanded Main Quest, allowing players to unlock brand-new areas of the island. Along the way, you will also meet new NPCs and encounter a variety of fresh quests to complete.
Automation enthusiasts will appreciate the new machines designed to streamline farm operations, while builders can enjoy new construction materials to create their dream farmsteads. Additionally, you can look forward to a plethora of new Bud patterns, shades, and outfits to customize your experience.
Fantasy Farm Adventure Tales of Seikyu
Tales of Seikyu is a fantasy farming adventure set to launch on Steam Early Access in early 2025. Developed by ACE Entertainment and published by Fireshine Games, the game will invite you to the magical land of Seikyu, where you can build a dream farm and restore a countryside inn amidst legendary yokai creatures. Shapeshift into a Crow tengu and soar freely into the skies, climb cliffs effortlessly as a tree spirit Dryad, or dive deep as a Slime in search of hidden treasures.
The game also emphasizes forging relationships with the villagers, expanding the ranch, cultivating crops, and crafting unique recipes. Additionally, you can enjoy the game solo or with friends in online co-op.
Explore, Craft, Farm and Build in Critter Cove
Critter Cove promises a perfect combination in my book. The game combines the charm of a life sim with the strategic elements of a town builder, all set in a beautifully handcrafted open world with lots of exploration added. Once a bustling tourist destination, the town of Critter Cove has fallen into disrepair. Now, it’s up to you to restore its former glory.
Use your doubloons to upgrade buildings and explore the surrounding world to discover new blueprints and gather resources. As you enhance Critter Cove, your tourist rating will rise, attracting more visitors and generating more income to invest back into the town.
Explore the mysterious tropical archipelago, dive beneath the waves to salvage treasures, rescue shipwrecked critters, and unearth exotic ingredients. This world is filled with ruins, shipwrecks, and ancient technology waiting to be discovered. You’ll find resources to craft hundreds of items, discover new construction blueprints, and bring home unique plants to grow on your farm. Turn mundane salvage into something special and boost your tourism rating by offering freshly grown food to visitors.
Key features include upgrading and decorating your town, building friendships with townsfolk, hunting for relics, and uncovering ancient secrets. Critter Cove is expected to release on Steam in Q3, but you can try the demo now available on its Steam page.
Animal Crossing Aquarium Tour

At each stop, you can enjoy themed activities and explore aquatic life with a unique Animal Crossing twist.
