YvoCaro Plays: Can I pick your brain?

This week an YvoCaro Plays that is a bit different! I wanted to talk to you about the workings of the site and ask for your help.

There’s more to the site than meets the eye

Playing video games, that’s what brings us together here on LadiesGamers. Us as in you as the readers, and us as the writer team. Although with all the work that needs to be done on LadiesGamers I notice that finding gaming time is a challenge sometimes. Of course, as a reader, you might not notice it at all, and you shouldn’t, but our small team is quite busy making sure it all runs smoothly for our readers to enjoy.

There’s technical stuff, like tweaking the nuts and bolts of the site, html codes, the right letter types and menu’s presented. There’s designing of the header and making sure everything else fits in the overall picture.  All of this to ensure you get to see our site in the best possible manner.

There’s PR, getting the word out there on social media. These days, that’s the way to make a name for oneself, so we try to be present at least on Facebook and Twitter. Making a mark on Instagram is what we strive for but haven’t really implemented yet.

Then there’s staying in contact with publishers and developers. Without them, and the review codes they are often kind enough to send  our way, we would have less content to show. Lastly, there’s staying abreast with news in the gaming world, so that we can keep you up to date.

Want to help with some ideas?

So why am I writing all of this? Because coming up with fun topics for new articles or series of articles can sometimes be challenging. We have had quite some featured series in the past that I hope you enjoyed, let me remind you:

There were the Pick and Mix games, about games for a small price that were easy to pick up and play.

We had the Soundtracks we Love, where we talked about the music that accompanied the passion for video games.

Game Soundtracks We love

Video Games Animated Adaptations where animated movies where highlighted that had video games at their bases.

Animal Crossing Memories needs no further introductions. Many of our team are avid AC fans, and it was fun to tell about the AC game that mattered the most to each of us.

From Steam to Switch is here to give attention to games on Steam, that might easily make the jump to the Switch as well. A lot of cute simulation games are just waiting to be played on our favorite handheld console.

Memory Museum looks back to the days where our writers had their first experience with video games. Or the memory that was most potent and maybe even life altering.

Quite a list huh? Aside from wanting to remind you of how many content there is on LadiesGamers already, I would like to pick your brain.

Do you have any ideas on what our next feature series could be? Content you don’t find anywhere else, or things you’d really like our views on?

Don’t hesitate to chip in, we would really like your feedback either here or on our social media!
