Over a year ago I wrote about a campaign on Fig (a platform much like Kickstarter) seeking funding for a puzzle game. A Fold Apart is a 3D puzzle game about the emotional struggle of a long distance relationship set in a world of folding paper. (Article about the original campaign here)
Although the Fig campaign didn’t make it, the developers eventually managed to keep their ideas afloat.

The Switch is release close!
A Fold Apart tells a story about love over a long distance. based on the long distance relationship the developers themselves experienced because of circumstances. This cute and colourful looking game leads your though puzzle levels that you have to fold like paper. You have to find creative ways to fold and manipulate the paper on a given level to bring the two characters back together. Much like for instance Captain Toad, where you have to consider the objects in a 3D space.

This game looks cute and colourful, and will have you put your thinking cap up to get ahead. It’s a nice thoughtful touch that you can play in any gender combination relationship you want.
I’m happy to report that A Fold Apart is set to release in June 2019. Initially for PC and Nintendo Switch, and later for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Now that is great news!
