The demo for All You Can Fish! was relaxing and so chill! It’s an incremental fishing game where the more you fish, the better you get at fishing. I loved it!
The Backstory of All You Can Fish!
To be honest, there is no back story!! I played as a dog named Luka. The game began with me on a fishing dock with some shops. I was given a fishing pole at one shop and a boat named “Luka’s Dream” at another shop. That’s it! From that point on, I was fishing.

The Look and Feel of All You Can Fish!
The game has a beautiful, calm and soothing soundtrack. It was so chill!! In the demo for All You Can Fish!, I only explored the dock with its 3 shops and one fishing area. There will be an updated demo released for the June Steam Next Fest, which will contain the next fishing area, for a total of 2 areas. The full game, which should be released in August 2026, will have a total of 6 fishing areas and a much larger dock with at least one more shop.
Sometimes a nice, simple and cozy game is exactly what I need. Sometimes I don’t want to play with a notebook in hand to keep track of various game elements; I just want to chill out and play. All You Can Fish! is exactly that type of game.
The Gameplay in All You Can Fish!
I often need a lot of hand-holding when I begin a game. When I played it, All You Can Fish! did not have much in the way of a tutorial so I struggled for the first 5 minutes or so. But then, suddenly it all clicked for me! The gameplay was really very simple; most players will have no problems! It’s definitely a Me thing! Even so, when I mentioned this to one of the devs, he said they were going to add a bit more of a tutorial to future iterations of the demo. In fact, by the time you read this article, the next iteration of the demo will probably be available for you.
To catch fish, I took my boat out into my selected fishing spot and dropped my fishing line into the water. There was a circle around my boat, and I could catch fish that were contained within that circle.

In the beginning, I didn’t understand that I was only given 20 seconds (!!) to fish. If I didn’t make it back to the dock before my time ran out, I lost some of the fish I caught. But once I caught on, I developed strategies. For example, I began to concentrate my fishing efforts very close to the dock so I could return more quickly. I also figured out the fishing mechanic, which was so simple! I cast my line, and then when I hooked a fish, I caught a fish. Easy peasy. I heard a cool “splash cluck” sound, which was the fish being dropped into my basket.
In addition, I learned that the reason I had limited fishing time was that I had to return to the dock before my gas ran out. Well, that makes sense! There was a gas can bar at the top left-hand of the screen in All You Can Fish! that I could glance at to see how much gas I had left. There was even a helpful bell that reminded me I was almost out of gas.
And I had to remember to check how many fish were in my basket, which was in the bottom left corner of the screen. I learned that I was only able to fit 8 fish in my basket, and the number on the screen turned red when I caught my 8th fish. When I returned to the dock, I was shown how many fish and seaweed I had caught as well as how long it took me to catch them. That was very good information to help me plan future fishing trips. As I play more and get more coins, I will be able to expand my basket to hold more fish. I can carry unlimited seaweed.

Even More About the Gameplay in All You Can Fish!
Although there were limits on how long I could fish before I ran out of gas and also how many fish I could carry, there was no day/night cycle, and no need to eat or sleep. It was a game all about fishing, at least the demo was!
The game devs, Luka’s Games, told me the full game will also include short dialogues, side quests, more unlockable mechanics, and unique boat and biome environments per region. But the main focus of the game will still be fishing. I actually spoke with them at length, and I am impressed with their dedication to the game. To me, it indicates that they are committed to developing an excellent game and want to make sure the players have the best possible experience with it.
I haven’t even mentioned the skill tree in All You Can Fish!. When I had filled my basket with 8 fish, I visited the shop on the dock that bought fish. I sold my fish for coins, which I used to upgrade my gear. That really made a huge difference in my ability to catch more fish faster, which in turn got me more coins!! Some of the things I could choose to upgrade were the speed my boat traveled, the size of my fuel tank, the value of the fish I caught and the speed at which I caught them. Plus a lot more variables that I could play around with. It was a fun challenge to spend my coins wisely and choose which upgrades to purchase.

As well as catching fish, I could also catch seaweed by just hovering my boat over it. Some of the skill upgrades required seaweed, others required fish, and some would accept either form of currency. The more I upgraded my gear, the more fun I had fishing! In the full version of All You Can Fish! I will also be able to purchase a new boat, but that option is locked in the demo.
I ended up playing All You Can Fish! for a total of 2 hours and enjoyed it a lot. My skills progressed, and I caught more fish and caught them quicker. I unlocked lots of new skills and even unlocked new fish varieties, all of which made the game exciting. In the end, I had caught most of the fish in the first fishing area, and I had plenty of coins to spend. However, I found the pace of the fishing picked up a bi,t which was hard for me. There were so many more fish to try and catch, I felt pressured to catch more and more and more! I don’t do well with fast-paced games and found I was making a lot of mistakes. But then I realized that I could fish as often as I wanted, with no penalties. So I stepped back and focused on catching just a few fish carefully each time, which really made the game more relaxing to me. I like that different players can choose to play the game their way. Fast and furious or slow and cozy.

Final Thoughts
All You Can Fish! was developed by an Indie couple. Ori did the programming and game design, while his girlfriend Adva did all the art by hand using Procreate on an iPad. They make a great team and have developed a really fun, chill game for us. The main character in the game, a dog named Luka, is based on their beloved dog, also named Luka! The demo is available now on Steam, and the full game should be released in August of 2026. I really enjoyed my time playing it, and I wish the devs all the best with it. It’s chill and cozy and yet challenging. A winning combination!
