Bahamut And The Waqwaq Tree is now available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. Developed by Saudi Arabian studio Starvania, the underwater puzzle‑platformer was already available on Steam and Switch.
A Mythological Journey Beneath The Waves
Set in the underwater realm of Ma’een, Bahamut And The Waqwaq Tree draws on Arabian mythology to tell a story shaped by legend and loss. Once a flourishing ocean paradise, Ma’een has been overtaken by corrupt forces that threaten its balance.
The game blends underwater platforming with environmental puzzle‑solving. The narrative references mythic figures such as Bahamut, the colossal whale, Falak, the giant serpent, and the legendary Waqwaq Tree itself. You are positioned as a bearer of light, tasked with restoring harmony and gradually dispelling the darkness that has settled across the ocean depths.
LadiesGamers Verdict
LadiesGamers reviewed Bahamut And The Waqwaq Tree a year ago on Steam, and James wrote in his conclusion:
“If you’re searching for a game that offers a blend of quiet reflection, mythological storytelling, and light puzzle‑solving, Bahamut and the Waqwaq Tree is an excellent choice. It may not appeal to thrill‑seekers, but for anyone in need of a calm, purposeful adventure, it’s an ocean gem with a lot of heart.”
There’s a new trailer available, and if you want to give the game a try first, there’s still a demo on Steam!
