It’s a busy week in the world of cosy games, strategy gems and charming indies, with a wave of new release dates, demos and updates landing all at once.
There are announcements like Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf, new gameplay reveals for The Legend of Khiimori, and firm launch dates for titles such as Birushana: Winds of Fate, Rusthaven, Laysara: Summit Kingdom, Huglings, Tiny Garden on Switch and the Greek‑inspired puzzler Mythmatch.
If you’re hunting for deals, the latest Marvelous Publisher Sale is also underway. Prefer hands‑on previews? New demos for rhythm‑driven visual novel Puppergeist and the cosy management sim Cat Isle give you plenty to try before release.
And for returning favourites, both Star Birds and Twinkleby have rolled out big seasonal updates, adding new content, features and reasons to dive back in.
Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf Release Coming
Wishfully Studios and Thunderful have confirmed that Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf lands on 5 March 2026 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. You won’t have to wait long to try it either — the first public demo has arrived on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5 and PS4, with Switch demos coming later. Laurane gives you her first impressions!
From the new trailer, you get a glimpse of a world that looks rich with variety: sweeping natural vistas, eerie robot graveyards, deep oceans and dense forests, all backed by a score from BAFTA‑nominated composer Takeshi Furukawa. You’ll see Lana and her companion Mui teaming up, using their distinct abilities — including Mui’s creature‑influencing powers — to solve puzzles, slip past hostile machines and explore each biome.
The sequel leans into a more ambitious scale, almost doubling the size of the original Planet of Lana. You’ll travel across fresh regions of Novo, from snowy peaks to dangerous waters, meeting new factions, friendly forest communities and towering creatures along the way. Expect more elaborate physics‑based puzzles, sharper action sequences and a story that stays rooted in the evolving bond between Lana and Mui.
Perfect if you’re returning to the series or stepping in for the first time, this follow‑up looks like a colourful, cinematic adventure with plenty of heart.

New Gameplay Video for The Legend of Khiimori
Publisher Mindscape and developer Aesir Interactive have shared a five‑minute gameplay showcase and key art for The Legend of Khiimori, giving you a good look at what awaits when the game enters Early Access on 3 March 2026 via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The new video walks you through a full delivery run, with Design Director Steve Bristow explaining how the game’s system‑driven design hands the reins to you. Instead of following a fixed storyline, you shape your own adventures through movement, survival, terrain, consequences and choice, meaning every journey looks different.
You’ll carry cargo and diplomatic messages across vast steppes, snowy peaks and scorching deserts, planning routes carefully because distance, time and preparation all matter. The world looks rugged and beautiful, pushing you to craft supplies, set up camp and manage harsh weather. You can also breed horses using real‑world genetics, pick the right mount for each mission and keep your saddlebags balanced to avoid injuries.
Each trip brings new decisions, from scaring off wolves to exploring ruins or navigating fire, spirits and hostile regions. Early Access already includes partial English and Mongolian voice‑over, with Mongolian actors bringing authenticity to the cast.
If you enjoy open‑world survival with a strong sense of agency, The Legend of Khiimori looks like an atmospheric adventure built around the stories you create for yourself.

Birushana: Winds of Fate Release Date
Idea Factory International has announced that the otome visual novel fan disc Birushana: Winds of Fate launches physically and digitally on Nintendo Switch across North America and Europe on 26 May 2026.
If you’re picking up the physical Standard Edition, you’ll get a bonus trading card pack while supplies last. Each pack includes nine cards featuring all the love interests, with one random card printed in a holographic finish. The Standard Edition is priced at $49.99 / €49.99 / £49.99.
Preorders for the physical Standard Edition are already open at retailers. Both the North American and European IFI Online Stores will offer the Standard Edition as well as an exclusive Plus Edition, with preorder details coming later.

Cosy Adventure‑Management Game Rusthaven
Chaos Theory Games has unveiled Rusthaven, a cosy adventure‑management game that looks like a warm, hopeful take on solarpunk exploration. You’ll play as Scoot, a Captain‑model robot who wakes to find their best friend beyond repair, prompting you to take charge of a skyship and search a lush post‑apocalyptic world for lost bots and forgotten tech.
As you scavenge the ruins of a broken but beautiful planet, you’ll repair abandoned robots, welcome them aboard as new crewmates and help them rediscover their memories and passions. Each companion brings fresh abilities, interactions and upgrades, gradually turning your skyship from a scrappy rescue vessel into a lived‑in home for a growing found family.
The game leans into themes of care, community and second chances, offering chill exploration, tactile crafting, deep ship customisation and a cast of bots with their own hobbies and personal arcs. It follows the studio’s mission to imagine brighter futures, building on the spirit of their 2024 title Crab God.
Rusthaven is coming to PC in 2027, and you can wishlist it now on Steam.

Big Update for Star Birds
The latest update for Star Birds lands with a real splash, giving you fresh aliens to meet, new plants to grow, and deeper food‑production chains to tinker with. You’ll also spot a brand‑new level generator, perfect if you want to keep playing long after the campaign wraps.
Dubbed the Flora & Fauna Update, this milestone takes you out of the frozen Ravsicle system and drops you into the lush, greener world of Paradeira. Here, you’re surrounded by curious alien life, mysterious tentacles poking out of craters, and plenty of opportunities to cook up treats like popcorn and space pizza. With a bit of care, you can even grow alien plants that supply water, fruit, and electricity for your expanding factory — it looks like a colourful, lively shift from the game’s earlier icy tone.
If you prefer pure building over story beats, the new Level Generator in Freeplay Mode lets you dive straight into mining and construction without campaign constraints.
The studio has also confirmed the timing for the game’s full release in Fall 2026, and meanwhile, Star Birds already got two thumbs up from us!

Lovetide Update for Twinkleby
Twinkleby’s seasonal Lovetide event has arrived, running from 9–22 February, and it looks like a charming way to fill your islands with heart‑themed warmth. You can decorate with limited‑time items like heart‑shaped furniture, rose vases and love letters, giving your home a cosy, romantic glow while the event lasts.
You’ll also meet Rose, a rare new Neighbour who’s on the lookout for lovely flowers — and maybe someone special to share them with. If you help her settle in, she’ll bring a gentle bit of charm to your archipelago.
Alongside the seasonal goodies, Lovetide introduces several permanent upgrades. You can now recolour house exteriors to match your favourite aesthetic, and new speech bubbles let Neighbours express themselves more clearly, adding extra personality to daily life. Three new common Neighbours — Alphonse, Jane and Rochester — also join the community, each bringing their own quirks.
Anything you unlock during Lovetide stays with you, but once the event ends, those seasonal items won’t return until the next celebration.

Full Launch of Laysara: Summit Kingdom
Laysara: Summit Kingdom is gearing up for a full launch on 27 February 2026, arriving on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Switch with a major 1.0 update. Paula played the game in Early Access and thought it was very promising indeed. If you’ve also been following its 20‑month Early Access run, you’ll spot a heap of refinements — but the headline addition is a brand‑new 15‑mission campaign that looks like a big step up for the mountain‑building city‑sim.
The campaign mixes sandbox freedom, structured scenarios and tougher challenge missions. You’ll hop between mountains, return to old settlements, tackle objective‑driven story beats and adapt to missions with custom modifiers. It’s all wrapped around a rescue‑focused narrative that pushes you to think beyond cosy mountaintop living and actually deal with the toxic mist plaguing the valleys. You’ll also meet three new story characters, including an Emissary sent to keep an eye on your progress, which should add some fresh tension to the familiar cast.
Console players aren’t left out either. Thanks to a full UI and gamepad overhaul, the game looks ready to feel at home on every major platform, with physical and collector’s editions available for those who prefer something to put on the shelf.

Cozy Adventure in Huglings
One of our patrons brought the sweet-looking game Huglings to our attention. Huglings looks like a gentle, cosy adventure where you and up to three friends help a tiny community rebuild after a run‑in with mischievous goblins. Instead of conflict, you’re nudged toward kindness — farming under soft skies, crafting snug furniture, fishing in quiet corners and decorating a home that feels truly yours.
You play as a Hugling, one of the small, storybook‑like folk who prefer peace over pressure. As you explore, you’ll meet charming villagers, share small moments, and slowly bring harmony back to the two tribes. It’s the sort of game where creativity blooms at your own pace and every calm moment feels worth lingering over.
The team says Huglings is about halfway through development. Many core features are already in place, but visuals, content and polish are still evolving. So no release in sight yet, but it is one to look out for!

Manage The Bustling Community in Cat Isle
Cat Isle looks like a cosy pixel‑art management game where you hop off a tiny train platform in the middle of the sea and slowly turn it into a bustling home for cats. Expected in Q2 2026 — with a demo already waiting on Steam — it invites you to build restaurants, expand the town and figure out exactly what your feline visitors want, whether that’s fresh sashimi, a cup of tea or simply a sunny spot to nap in.
As you grow the island, you can unlock decorations through a Gashapon machine, each capsule giving you a small surprise to help shape the town’s personality. Every building becomes a chance to get creative, adding plants, lights and ornaments that suit both your taste and your cats’ quirks. When you’re not managing supplies or balancing shop demands, you’re encouraged to slow down, watch the cats wander about and enjoy the gentle atmosphere.
With four themed levels, cosy gameplay and, unsurprisingly, a lot of cats, Cat Isle looks like a warm, relaxing escape where you build a place your furry residents can truly call home.

Rhythm-Driven Visual Novel Puppergeist
There’s a demo now live for Puppergeist, a game that looks like a rhythm‑driven visual novel where you journey through the Doggie Underworld in search of your lost pup. There’s no release window yet, but you can already try a demo on Steam if you want a taste of its charm.
You play as Claire, a witch who dives into this mysterious realm and meets dog spirits with stories full of warmth, friendship and a little sadness. Each encounter nudges you to listen, connect and lift their moods through rhythm challenges that push the story forward one beat at a time. With Lunne, a mischievous demon companion, by your side, you slowly uncover tales of love, loss and loyalty, all wrapped in a gentle, emotional adventure.
Every rhythm sequence comes with its own twist, including remixes and bonus features, making the journey feel playful as well as touching. If you enjoy narrative games with a musical heartbeat, Puppergeist looks like one to keep an eye on.

Tiny Garden Coming to Switch
Tiny Garden is sprouting onto Nintendo Switch on 26 February, bringing its cosy pocket‑sized gardening vibes to handheld players after a successful Steam launch in 2025. I loved it when I played it on Steam (as you can read here) so this might just be a reason to double-dip to get it on my favourite console!
The Switch edition bundles in all existing DLC, including the Summer Breeze Cosmetic Pack and the Supporter’s Pack, so you can decorate your little garden toy with plenty of extra charm from day one.
You’re building your dream garden inside a 90s‑style clamshell toy, turning the crank and discovering secrets as you go. Gardening in miniature surroundings, approaching it like a casual game with strategic planning to unlock all plant seeds, types of soil and decoration options. It’s very cute, the decorations are just like in a doll’s house, and the added letters tell a good story.

Release Date for Greek Inspired Mythmatch
Team Artichoke has revealed the release date for Mythmatch, their myth‑infused match‑3 puzzler led by Moo Yu of Knights and Bikes and LittleBigPlanet fame. You’ll be able to play it on Steam from 13 March, with a demo already live and the game set to appear in the upcoming Steam Next Fest.
Mythmatch looks like a playful blend of match‑3 merging, Greek mythology and lighthearted satire. Cast down to Ithaca by the Gods, Artemis must rebuild a struggling hamlet by merging resources, crafting new materials and expanding the town into a thriving community. As you get to know the locals, you’ll also bump into other Gods, challenge them in quirky mini‑games and earn perks that boost your growing settlement.
With its mix of satisfying puzzle merging, town‑building, mythological mischief and even local co‑op mini‑games, Mythmatch invites you to upgrade, befriend and prove yourself worthy, all while sticking it to the Olympus Inc. tech bros.
