Cozy Solitaire is a Solitaire game with a little twist: there is cozy music and a bunch of cats to collect. It is meant to be a very relaxing experience with a classic game.

The Look of Cozy Solitaire

Cozy Solitaire, as stated above, is basically just another version of Solitaire. The cards have a soft, hand-drawn look to them with gently rounded corners. They sort of look like they would be squishy if you could touch them. All the colors are kind of muted and gentle, and everything in this game looks and feels so comfy.

I want to squish the cards.

In the background, there is a woman on a tablet on a comfy couch. Beside her is a little speaker where you can choose what kind of gentle music you want to hear while playing. All the tracks are relaxing and nice background sounds. As you collect cats, which are hidden behind some of the cards, they will come to watch you play. You also occasionally come across treats to give them, and it makes the cats stick around a little longer. There are 18 cats to collect, and all of them have unique coloring.

You can also choose from several different color palettes, all of which are muted and kind to the eyes.

The Pros of Cozy Solitaire

Cozy Solitaire is just a gentler, more relaxing version of one of my favorite games. With a low price point and good vibes, there’s a lot to like about it. It also has the ability to just double-click on a card, and the game knows what you are trying to do with it, which makes the interface as user-friendly as it can be. The music is nice, and you can easily skip songs you don’t like or change the volume in-game. There’s even a cute little clock, so you know what time it is in real life.

Also, you can pet the cats!

I know I was up late playing; it was just so cozy!

The Cons of Cozy Solitaire

I didn’t have any issues with Cozy Solitaire. I love it; it’s cute, cheap, simple, and looks and sounds amazing. It’s so cute, and the action of the cards feels really good. It has an autocomplete that makes it so much easier to play.

However, if you are looking for a challenge, you won’t find it here. You can choose whether or not the game is guaranteed finishable or completely random, but either choice won’t be too hard. There are no timers, and there are no penalties for going through the pile of cards over and over again. You pick up one card from the pile at a time instead of three. Most of the challenge has been removed to make it a relaxing experience. I can see this being a negative for some puzzle lovers out there, but I really liked the whole vibe that Cozy Solitaire has embraced.

There is also a bug that keeps you from closing the game with the in-game button; you have to close it from Steam, which is a little annoying. It might be because I full-screened my version, but I’m not sure.

Conclusion

If you are looking for a Solitaire-like game that is fun and relaxing, Cozy Solitaire is a great choice. It’s cute, fun to play, and very chill. If you are looking for a difficult challenge with timers and obstacles to make it more challenging, this one is one you will want to skip.

Final Verdict: Two Thumbs Up
