A Virtual Diorama
Have you ever wanted to build your own diorama? Fear not, my friend, as Cozyrama has you covered! If you lack the ability, time, or even the materials to make a real-life diorama, you can now make a digital one, with thousands of different assets, models, animals, plants, and everything your heart desires! You can even use Cozyrama to plan your dioramas before trying to make them yourself. For someone like me who loves the idea of detailed miniature worlds but lacks the patience for glue and paint, it’s a perfect creative outlet.

As a sandbox game, it doesn’t have any particular challenge for the player, focusing mainly on building freely. You can modify a pre-built diorama, or you can start one from scratch with a theme of your choice. It’s a cozy, casual game for people who like to spend time being creative, offering a wide variety of options. You may feel a bit lost at the beginning, but the moment you start adding color and life to your scene, everything becomes intuitive and relaxing—perfect for spending hours creating the most whimsical scenarios.

Starting Your Diorama
If you wish to start a new diorama, you have two size options: small or large. You can customize the shape as a circle or square, fill it with grass, and create ponds. You can change the background or the ground colour, add paths, and switch between day and night to see how your scene looks. The terrain options are somewhat limited, as you don’t have a special tool to make hills or burrows; you only have a few round or square platform options that don’t create smooth transitions.

Then, you can decorate your little world with plants—trees, flowers, aquatic plants, vegetables, animals, from farm animals to wild ones—and objects like houses, pots, and fences. I spent a good amount of time just browsing the many options the game has. You can position your desired object, rotate it, scale it up or down, and even change its color. There are options to toggle moss and even use XYZ arrows for precise placement. Animals can be set to walk around, and you can even pet them!

If you are not satisfied with the built-in options, you can jump over to the workshop and create something yourself. Your creations can be shared with the community, where you can find a world of new ideas from other players to inspire you. There are literally thousands of scenarios, objects, and different ideas available for Cozyrama. The number of things you can do is incredible, and anyone who is a fan of sandbox games that let you explore your imagination will be glad to play this title.

Things that may be missing
Making a game with all the possibilities in the world is impossible, and so Cozyrama has a few areas that could be improved. A terrain sculpting tool for hills and valleys is at the top of my wishlist. The current platform options can feel a bit limiting when you’re aiming for a natural landscape. Animals could have a wider variety and include dogs and cats, as they are a huge part of most households. Aquatic animals are also very limited; adding fish, dolphins, or sharks would be wonderful.

I also wish there were an easier way to create interior dioramas, as I love decoration, and some objects would fit perfectly inside. To do so, you currently have to resort to the workshop and create a model yourself, which isn’t the hardest task, but does take time. Additionally, the inability to rotate objects to stand upright (like propping a guitar against a house) limits creative options in the workshop. Nevertheless, I’m hopeful that future updates will address some of these points, as the core foundation is wonderfully strong.

Conclusion
Cozyrama is a very complete sandbox game with the potential to become someone’s favorite. It offers a lot of good options for decorating, and a workshop that can supply what is missing. The ability to share your creations and download others’ work is a huge plus, as they are very helpful and inspiring if you ever feel stuck. It’s a delightful and deeply satisfying digital craft box that delivers exactly what it promises: a no-pressure, endlessly customizable space to build charming miniature worlds.
