Ithya: Magic Studies is a 2025 gamified productivity app developed and released by BlueTurtle.
The Idea behind Ithya: Magic Studies
In recent years, combining productivity tools such as timers, to-do lists, and habit trackers with lofi or fantasy playlists has become popular. There’s a variety of such apps on Steam, and some go even further when it comes to gamifying, including options to earn experience, level up, and customize the virtual study space. Some of you may have tried Spirit City and Ithya: Magic Studies is a new app with the same mechanics.
The App
In Ithya: Magic Studies, we have a wizard in training, Ithya, studying, and wandering through a variety of scenes. As we earn experience, we decorate our study space and unlock new locations.

We have different furniture options and clothes for our cozy study space. At the same time, the locations are also unlocked as we level up. In some places, we can find unique elemental spirits that keep us company as we study or pursue our creative pursuits. All of the scenes and characters are hand-drawn illustrations by the artist Blue Turtle.

We can adjust the environment for each study session by choosing between day, night, sunset, and rainy settings, each with its own set of ambient sounds. The soundtrack consists of 10 themed playlists by talented indie composers, ranging from epic to cozy. You can also turn it off and use only the ambient sounds.
We have a classic timer and a pomodoro timer, each customizable. We also have a to-do list and a diary with customizable sections. We can also choose the sound the timer makes when it runs out.
Our heroine can stay in her room or, really, any unlocked location while we study, or we can use “travel mode,” which means that every few minutes, the scene changes. The time of day and the weather also change, simulating the passage of time in the real world.
The World of Ithya: Magic Studies

Ithya: Magic Studies features charming illustrations and an almost too cinematic intro animation the first time you start the app. In addition, we have a map for quick travel to the different locations, but also with some towns and cities we can read about. It looks like a well-crafted Dungeons and Dragons campaign with lore and mythology.
Conclusion
I like productivity apps, and I’ve written about them here before. I didn’t expect Ithya: Magic Studies; it was a completely spontaneous purchase after seeing it on the featured page in Steam. That being said, I think it’s my favorite app of the type, and I’ve been using it exclusively since I bought it almost two weeks ago.
If you like apps like this or you are curious about apps like this, I think you should try Ithya: Magic Studies. You might be pleasantly surprised.
