Luminids: Cozy Tiny-Creature Colony Sim

Cozy colony builder Luminids, is in development and planned to launch in Early Access in February 2027, made by solo creator Nick from Luminids Studios.

Luminids is a cozy colony-building sandbox where tiny beings gather, build, and grow in a world you shape with them. Build from above, then step into first person to explore the settlement up close.

Build A Colony With Living Creatures

At the heart of Luminids are the creatures themselves. Luminids are small, expressive beings with their own needs, routines, and awareness. They gather resources, construct buildings, and respond to the environment around them.

Rather than simply managing a system, you are guiding a community that reacts to the conditions you create. As your colony expands, you can explore a variety of environments. From lush grasslands to deserts and frozen regions, each biome brings different resources and challenges.

Luminids avoids combat and fail states entirely. It encourages experimentation and quiet observation, letting you watch your world evolve across different biomes, from grasslands to deserts.

Dual Perspective and Playing Together

A key feature that sets Luminids apart is its dual perspective. You can plan your settlement from an isometric view, shaping the land and organising your colony from above.

At any moment, you can switch into first-person and walk through the same world at ground level. This shift gives you a more personal view of your creation, allowing you to experience the settlement as a place rather than just a layout.

You can also play in online or local co-op, building and exploring together.
