Fans of Momento have plenty of reasons to revisit the cosy storytelling game, as developer Fat Alien Cat Studios has released the free v1.1 Content Update across Steam, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
When we reviewed Momento earlier this year, Kalina praised it as a worthy successor for players who enjoyed Unpacking, highlighting its blend of cosy storytelling, creativity, and whimsical charm.
Here’s What’s New
The new update adds a wealth of content and quality-of-life improvements. One of the headline features is the Wall of Memories, a new hub that allows players to replay discovered rooms, uncover alternative story outcomes, complete missed puzzles, and track narrative branches based on previous choices.
Creative players can also enjoy an expanded Creative Mode, with new background environments including suburban, city, rural, and even space-themed settings. Meanwhile, the update introduces 70+ new puzzles and additional room variations tied to the game’s early-life chapters, offering fresh decorating opportunities and new reasons to revisit familiar memories.
Performance has also been improved, with faster loading times on lower-end systems and handheld devices. New accessibility options, including adjustable font sizes for story notes and messages, make the experience easier to customise, while improved visual cues help players follow narrative connections throughout the game.
Overall, the v1.1 update significantly expands Momento, giving both new and returning players more stories, puzzles, and creative freedom to explore.
