Furthermore, not all games to be released are on the list here. Alternatively, you will see games that the other gaming sites don’t mention. We are taking notice of these games, and you can expect reviews for many of them if given half a chance! It should be noted that unless we have some personal experience with the game, there’s a link to the descriptions on the Steam website.
Everdeep Aurora – July 10th
An ongoing apocalyptic meteor shower has forced the world’s population to settle underground. As Shell, a feline child who awakens to find her mother missing, you will drill downward into the depths to discover a hidden subterranean world and its inhabitants: tormented creatures with an uncertain past.
This narrative exploration and platform game inspired by 16-bit aesthetics will take you back to the simplicity and excitement of the classics of that era. There’s a vibrant and dynamic world to explore, lots of peculiar characters to meet, and varied puzzles to solve. Will you discover the secrets hidden in Everdeep?
James reviewed Everdeep Aurora and said this in his conclusion:
Everdeep Aurora is a thoughtful and unusual game that rewards patience and curiosity. It’s not an adrenaline rush or a test of skill, but rather a slow descent into a world full of strange characters, gentle storytelling, and hidden truths. It’s a game I wasn’t sure about at first, but by the end, I was glad I took the trip. It’s not for everyone, but if it clicks, it really clicks.
Misc. A Tiny Tale – July 22nd
Meet Buddy and Bag Boy – two tiny robots with big hearts and an even bigger mission: spreading joy wherever they go! After a mysterious explosion, golden cogs and trash rain from the sky, and the duo must work together to restore each village and uncover the secret behind the blast.
Scrub messes, collect trash, and lend a helping hand by cleaning up. Every difference you make earns you points. Got trash? Recycle it at any RECYC0TRON for extra cash to spend in stores during your adventure.
Yvonne reviewed Misc. A Tiny Tale and gave it our highest score of Two Thumbs Up:
While Chibi Robo seems to have sadly faded into the background, Misc. A Tiny Tale feels like a hopeful continuation of its legacy. And it’s not just a nostalgic nod, it’s a lovingly crafted adventure in its own right, with a modern polish and a heartfelt message.
The game plays smoothly on the SteamDeck and probably equally smooth on the Switch. Misc. A Tiny Tale celebrates the joy of helping others and finding wonder in exploration and finding the small things: they might seem unimportant but not so to someone out there!
Grimshire – July 22nd
A deadly plague threatens the village of Grimshire. Manage your farmland, forage the bounty of the wilds, prevent your harvest from rotting away and keep the root cellar full. Can you help bring the community together and survive?
You’ve barely escaped the chaos that consumed your hometown overnight. The friendly residents of Grimshire, an isolated mountain village, offer you a new home. Restore the cosy old farmhouse, and tend the fields. But beware, the plague is coming. The community must work together if everyone is to survive.
UnderMine 2 -July 22nd
Building on the best aspects of UnderMine, an acclaimed action-adventure roguelike, UnderMine 2 takes dungeon crawling to a whole new level! Discover, combine, craft, and transmute powerful relics and take your lowly peasant from zero to hero. Trivial human politics distract as cosmic machinations unfold — there is more than one war in Delvemore. While King Faraam IV attempts to regain control of his kingdom, the unseen war between two daemonic siblings ripples the fabric of reality.
Wheel World – July 23rd
You are Kat, a young cyclist with one mission: save Wheel World from total collapse. Explore a stunning open world filled with impressive vistas, hidden secrets, and races that will test your skills. Customise your bike with an endless array of parts, from sleek speedsters to off-road beasts—there’s no limit to how you can ride.
Kalina had a wheelie good time in Wheel World, and gave it our highest score of Two Thumbs Up:
Wheel World is a fun, summery game that allows for adventure, exploration, and a bit of self-reflection, which can feel almost meditative at times. It was a game I’d been eagerly awaiting for a while, and thankfully, it didn’t disappoint me.
Hotel Galactic -July 24th
Hotel Galactic is a cosy management game where you transform a rundown intergalactic hotel into a thriving tourist destination. Blending wholesome nostalgia with modern fairy tale magic, Hotel Galactic invites you into a lovingly crafted world inspired by classic anime pictures, brought to life with stunning hand-painted visuals and beautifully animated details. Whether you’re in for uncovering heartfelt stories or diving into its rich sandbox gameplay, Hotel Galactic offers a magical journey that continues to grow long after the tale is told.

Hotel Galactic has the potential to be a great cozy summer-y game. It does have some kinks, but hopefully the early access stage will allow developers to iron them out. That being said, while not for everybody, I liked my time at the Hotel Galactic, and I think I will keep returning to my little hotel colony in the months to come.
Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of The Rings™ Game – July 29th
Create your own Hobbit as you set forth in Bywater. Though not yet established as an official village in Hobbiton, play a part in helping the quaint town flourish. Greet comfort at the door as you decorate your own Hobbit hole, tend to your garden, fish at the clear ponds, forage wild fruits and herbs, or trade with townsfolk. Prepare homemade meals to share with fellow Hobbits and foster relationships.
With much to see and lots more to eat, enjoy days of splendour in the picturesque forests, lakes, and pastures.

The release of Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings™ Game was off to a rocky start. I know the first reviews were based on a version that had plenty of bugs. But an update was implemented before the game was released, and I can honestly say I haven’t encountered any. The graphics on the Switch 2 leave something to be desired, but the gameplay is what you would expect from a good simulation game.
Working with Goldilocks on all the requests and tasks the Hobbits of Bywater set her is huge fun. Cooking and sharing meals are the key elements, and the gardening, fishing and foraging is great, as is decorating your little Hobbit hole.
I know it’s only a subtle touch, but a delightful one: while you’re out and about handling chores, the game gently guides you using two charming bluebirds that flutter ahead and perch just so, showing you the way. It always brings a smile to my face!
