It’s time to take a look at the upcoming Switch and Switch 2 games that are being newly released on our favourite handhelds, the Nintendo Switch 1 and Switch 2. You can check the Nintendo website for games that are compatible with both the original Switch and the Switch 2. Additionally, we feature Upcoming Steam Games for those who prefer gaming on Steam.
Upcoming Switch and Switch 2 Games
Not all games to be released are listed here. Alternatively, you will see games that the other gaming sites don’t mention. We are taking notice of these games. You can expect reviews for many of them if given half a chance! It should be noted that unless we have some personal experience with the game, there’s a link to the descriptions on the Nintendo website.

Mina played the Steam version of Fruitbus and had this to say in her conclusion:
Fruitbus is a lot of fun. It has fun characters, great animations, funny moments, and an overall heartwarming tale. The first two islands, which I have traipsed from one end to the other, are filled with characters, interesting things, and weird new fruit salad combinations.
If you like simulation titles with heart, I cannot recommend Fruitbus enough. It’s got a few bugs, but it seems like the developers are really on point with trying to make the game as good as it can be. It’s fun; the gameplay does get a little repetitive after a while, but overall, Fruitbus is the most I’ve ever had with a blender and a bunch of veggies.
Slopecrashers Switch 1 – August 7th

Calling all freeriders, powder fanatics, and party-game lovers! Whether you’re chasing nostalgic snowboarding vibes or the thrill of epic races with friends, Slopecrashers has got you covered.
Jump into easy-to-play, exhilarating-to-master snowboarding mayhem with a chaotic cast of customizable animal riders. Inspired by arcade racing classics but powered by a next-gen physics engine, Slopecrashers takes racing, stunts, and combos to the extreme. Grab your board—or maybe a frying pan—and carve through 20 diverse tracks in snow, sand, or cyberpunk skylines!
James reviewed the Steam version of Slopechasers and said this in his conclusion:
Slopecrashers is a love letter to the arcade-style snowboarding games of yesteryear. It’s accessible, fun, and packed with options for solo players and multiplayer chaos, local or online. While it doesn’t reinvent the snowboard, it’s a nostalgic ride down memory lane with a modern twist.
Sure, it has a few rough edges, some modes are hit-or-miss, and the visuals aren’t groundbreaking, but the gameplay is engaging enough to keep you coming back for “just one more race.” A lot of hard work has clearly gone into this game from the developer, and it shows. I highly recommend it. A free demo is available on Steam, so you’ve got nothing to lose but a few hours of snowy shenanigans.
Discounty Switch 1 – August 20th

Manage your own discount supermarket! Get caught up in small-town drama, organise and plan your shop’s layout, and strike lucrative trade deals as you expand your secretive aunt’s business empire. Selling more frozen fries will surely heal this broken community…right?
Step into the quirky harbour town of Blomkest, where your aunt has entrusted you with managing its only supermarket. Design and organise your shop, manage stock levels, work the checkout, and strike trade deals. Build relationships with the charming locals, and grow your business empire while navigating community dynamics. Use every tool at your disposal to expand your business, but be mindful: rapid growth might ruffle a few feathers in this tight-knit community. Will you pursue endless profits, or find a way to benefit everyone in Blomkest.
Lynne reviewed Discounty and concluded:
Discounty is more than a shop simulator. It’s a clever and humorously written story, where you play through the main goals and tasks to fulfil Aunt Tellar’s expansion plans and expose the mysteries in Blomkest. Yes, you can just run the shop, but trying to become a real supermarket and finding out about the dysfunctional town is where the game really shines.
Lost in Loss Switch 1 – August 23rd

Rebuild what was forgotten. Reveal what was hidden. Can you solve it, Detective?
Hey, Detective! Ready for a strange case? Citizens are forgetting who they are — their true selves are slipping away. Will you help bring them back?
Explore beautiful hand-drawn locations, search for unusual hidden objects, and uncover the secrets behind each person’s story. What will you discover inside an old suitcase? Or behind a forgotten bookshelf?
Laurane didn’t get Lost in Loss when she reviewed the game:
Lost in Loss is an interesting game. It’s short and pretty accessible in terms of mechanics. The story itself is sweet, especially in the message it conveys. Some moments felt a bit abrupt or frustrating to me, but it was still worth finishing it.
I think it could work for people who want to train their observation skills, who like to make that brain of theirs work a little, but most importantly who have patience (you’re gonna need it). As long as you’re up for that kind of challenge, I think you’ll enjoy this little ‘forget-me-not’ journey.
Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar Switch 1 & 2 – August 27th

Build your farm in Zephyr Town and breathe new life into the once-famous bazaar. Set up your stall to sell produce and goods from the crops and animals you raise on your farm, and meet charming townsfolk to befriend and romance as you help the close-knit community thrive.
Begin your idyllic new life on a farm and enjoy the daily rhythms of rural living. Nurture a variety of crops and care for adorable animals in the picturesque mountainside settlement of Zephyr Town.
Sell your farm’s produce and goods at the lively weekly bazaar. Customise your stall and take charge of your sales to build buzz, power up profits and put Zephyr Town’s Grand Bazaar back on the map.
Yvonne got farming in STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar on the Switch, concluding:
Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is every bit as fun as I remembered from the original and more. Managing my products to have a weekly smashing bazaar is addictive and most weeks I can’t wait for Saturday to roll by. All the other elements of a good farming sim are there, even socialising feels more fleshed out than in the DS game.
If you’re a fan of farming sims and the management part of a game appeals to you, this is one to go for, whether you played the original or not. For this isn’t just a remake, it feels like a new game!
