It’s time to take a look at the upcoming Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 games that are being newly released on our favourite handhelds. You can check the Nintendo website for games that are compatible with both the original Switch and the Switch 2. Additionally, we also feature upcoming Steam games for those who prefer gaming on Steam!
Upcoming Switch and Switch 2 Games
Not all games to be released are listed here. Alternatively, you will see games that the other gaming sites don’t mention. We are taking notice of these games. You can expect reviews for many of them if given half a chance! It should be noted that unless we have some personal experience with the game, there’s a link to the descriptions on the Nintendo website.
Constance Switch – May 1st
Constance is a 2D hand-drawn action adventure featuring a paintbrush-wielding artist, striving to escape from a colorful but decaying inner world, created by her declining mental health.
Utilise paint-based mechanics to experience a constant state of flow—dive into the ground and walls, slice through the air and enemies! Become stronger by unlocking new techniques with your brush that aid you in defeating threatening foes, overcoming platform challenges, solving complex puzzles, and advancing your progress.
James liked Constance a lot, saying in his conclusion:
Constance is a thoughtful, well-crafted 2D adventure that leans heavily into its themes without losing sight of being a game first. The paint mechanics are clever, the world is beautifully realised, and there’s a clear sense of care in how everything fits together.
It’s not without its rough edges but if you’re in the mood for an adventure that offers more than just exploration and combat, Constance is a journey well worth taking.
Mixtape Switch 2 – May 7th
On their last night together, three friends embark on one final adventure. Play through a mixtape of memories, set to the soundtrack of a generation.
En route to their final party together, a perfectly curated playlist draws three friends into dreamlike reenactments of their formative memories. Experience a variety of narrative vignettes exploring the pivotal moments that shaped them.
Players will immerse themselves in the teenage wasteland by playing through a mixtape of joyful gameplay, from skateboarding and flying to taking photos after hours at an abandoned theme park, hitting baseballs, and putting on a fireworks show from the backseat of a car. It’s the greatest hits of the teenage experience, from the first kiss to the last dance.
Lost Twins 2 Switch – May 7th
Shift the world, solve puzzles, and help Abi & Ben find their way back home. Reunite the twins and rearrange the world and rediscover wonder.
Abi and Ben are lost but not alone. In Lost Twins 2, you’ll shift entire pieces of the world to guide them through a beautifully handcrafted puzzle adventure full of cozy charm and clever surprises
Duck Side of the Moon Switch – May 7th
Waddle and fly as a duck in space! Explore the galaxy and find curious creatures and materials along the way. Craft gadgets, upgrade your spaceship, and get cozy in this relaxing adventure.
Fly around as Doug, an overworked duck astronaut looking for a new homeworld. Crashed on a strange side of the galaxy, maybe this break is exactly what he needs! Whether you’re exploring or just soaking in the stars, this galaxy is yours to enjoy at your own pace.
Find rare minerals in glowing caves, win outfits at the funfair, or see what’s bubbling inside the volcano… Whether it’s the highest stars or the deepest mines, every path has something to discover!
Lynne like Duck Side of the Moon, as she wrote in her review:
There is a lot to enjoy in Duck Side of the Moon, the storyline is witty and charming, the exploration is expansive, and the crafting is well structured. At times, flying as Doug was great fun, but I also found it frustrating, especially when needing greater dexterity than my fingers wanted to demonstrate.
However, there is a disconnect between the upgrade path and access to the various areas, and together with the issues I encountered, my overall enjoyment was reduced.
Outbound Switch 1 & Switch 2 – May 11th
Build your own home on wheels and live sustainably off-grid. Craft workstations and power supplies, source energy from the sun, wind, or water, upgrade and customise your vehicle, grow crops, and explore a colourful world with up to 4 players.
Explore a colourful open world with a variety of biomes, resources, and secrets, together with your friends. Play Outbound alone or with up to 4 players cooperatively.
Mina liked Outbound a lot when she reviewed it. She wrote in her conclusion:
Outbound has a lot of great elements to it. It’s fun, it has a lot of cute details, and the whole thing is extremely cozy. There is a lot to love about it, and it encourages you to take you time, sit around, and relax as you slide into your new life.
There were some issues, the stamina being the biggest one for me, but if that doesn’t bother you, you will probably adore Outbound. Overall, it was a good time, and I look forward to completing it in the coming days.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Switch 2 – 12th May

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book Switch 2 – May 21st
Play as Yoshi and help a mysterious talking book named Mr E remember the creatures living within his pages. Open him up, explore colorful habitats, and experiment with each creature to learn all kinds of surprising findings across every page. On your journey, you might see Bowser Jr. popping up in habitats! What could he be up to…?

Overall, I’ve had a fantastic time with Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. However, it is a game you have to persevere with. Initially, it appears short and underwhelming, and although you never get the mega boss battles or tricky jumping of other Mario franchise platformers, the content does slowly unlock and eventually makes it worthy of the Yoshi brand.
Bubsy 4D Switch & Switch 2 – May 22nd
Bubsy is back in a new 3D platforming adventure! What could possibly go wrong?
Join Bubsy on a new, intergalactic, platforming adventure! Yeah, we couldn’t believe it either. The world’s most infamous, wisecracking bobcat has returned to 3D with new challenges, new moves, and even more purrsonality – in space! Run, jump, glide, and roll across alien planets, battle robotic sheep, and collect tons and tons of yarn.
What could possibly go wrong? Bubsy’s longstanding enemies, the fleece-obsessed Woolies, have stolen all of the Earth’s sheep. Oh well, that ain’t Bubsy’s problem. Until the sheep overthrow their captors and return as deadly BaaBots, empowered by Woolie technology, determined to steal Bubsy’s most prized possession, The Golden Fleece.
