Upcoming Switch Games March 2025

It’s time to take a look at the upcoming Switch games that are being newly released on our favourite handheld, the Nintendo Switch. Plus, we also feature Upcoming Steam Games for those of you who prefer gaming on Steam!

Upcoming Switch Games

Not all games to be released are on the list here. Alternatively, you will see games that the other gaming sites don’t mention. We are taking notice of these games. You can expect reviews for many of them if given half a chance! It should be noted that unless we have some personal experience with the game, there’s a link to the descriptions on the Nintendo website.

Morkull Ragast’s Rage – March 5th

Upcoming Switch Games

Morkull Ragast’s Rage is a 2D video game that combines platforming and action with a touch of exploration.
You control Morkull, the villain of the story, who not only knows he’s a character in a video game but is also aware of the player who controls him (i.e., you) and the developers who created him.
Your objective? Help Morkull escape from the Ragast so he can rule the world and carry out his evil plans.

James reviewed Morkull Ragast’s Rage and said this in his conclusion:

Morkull Ragast’s Rage doesn’t bring a ton of new ideas to the table, but what it offers is a solid, well-crafted platforming adventure with a lot of personality. Morkull himself is a fantastic lead, carrying the game with his quirky humour and fourth-wall-breaking antics. The gameplay is tight and enjoyable, though combat can be hit-or-miss, and navigation issues may test your patience.

The difficulty makes it best suited for experienced players, as the punishing soul-loss system and challenging encounters may frustrate more casual players. But if you’re up for a tough but rewarding platforming experience, Morkull Ragast’s Rage delivers a fun, chaotic ride through a beautifully animated, villainous adventure.

Sugardew Island – March 7th

Upcoming Switch Games

Take care of your animals and your farm, sell your goods to the cute Forest Folk, upgrade your farm, and fulfil small orders from the Harmony Tree to fill the tiny island with life again. If you wish, you can go on dates with friendly locals, each with their own unique personality and backstory!

The developers have kept Sugardew Island accessible so that even parents can let their kids explore it worry-free. There’s no rush, no stress—just a peaceful environment filled with charming animals, farm life, and a beautiful island to discover.

Lynne reviewed Sugardew Island and said this in her conclusion:

There is a lot to like about Sugardew Island. The Forest Folk are so cute as they run into the shop to purchase the items you’ve worked hard to produce. The colourful graphics, delightful animals, and straightforward gameplay are appealing, and although the island locals aren’t the most chatty, it’s fun to learn about their stories.

However, with the issues around upgrading tools and the numerous software crashes, I can’t recommend Sugardew Island at this time. Hopefully, the developers will hack away these thorny problems very quickly because there is an adorable farm shop simulation game waiting for us on Sugardew Island.

Escape From Mystwood Mansion – March 19th

Escape From Mystwood Mansion

Experience a first-person escape room adventure in the mysterious Mystwood mansion. Solve puzzles, crack codes, and uncover hidden secrets to escape!

You find yourself trapped inside the mysterious Mystwood Mansion. The door behind you is locked, and the only way forward is to delve deeper into the mansion. As you explore the mansion’s many rooms, you discover that someone has orchestrated a series of puzzles and challenges to keep you from escaping.

Lynne reviewed Escape from Mystwood Mansion and gave it our highest score of Two Thumbs Up.

Escape From Mystwood Mansion is an extremely satisfying and well-rounded puzzle adventure. There is a good mix of puzzles and codes to decipher, varying in difficulty, but with the built-in hint system, nothing is frustrating.

For anyone who enjoys escape room scenarios, then Escape From Mystwood Mansion will surely be a winner.

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land – March 21st

Upcoming switch games

People gather memories as they live their lives, thus developing their souls. This is the story of a young woman travelling across a ruined continent to find the path toward the future.

The theme of this game is “memory.” There are moments when everyone must confront the past and their own memories. All memories, including both successes and failures, become nourishment for the future and help shape people. “Atelier Yumia” tells the story of Yumia and her companions as they follow the path they believe in while being confronted by the memories they discover along the way.

Yvonne reviewed Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land and said this in her conclusion:

I must admit to looking back longingly to the fighting and synthesising systems in Atelier Ryza and earlier games. The fighting feels too much like button mashing for me, and I miss all the complexity of older Atelier games. But I get that Gust wants to insert new things into each game and maybe make the Atelier games accessible to new players, and it all comes down to personal preference.

That being said, the building part of Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land is a nice addition. I love the exploration part; I’m just curious about what’s around the corner. The deep narrative and the way alchemy is portrayed made me instantly like Yumia—no overly enthusiastic youngster but a quiet girl with a history.

This is a good successor to the Secret trilogy and a great entry point for newcomers.
