It’s time to take a look at the upcoming Switch games that are being newly released on our favourite handheld, the Nintendo Switch. Plus, we also feature Upcoming Steam games for those of you who prefer gaming on Steam!

Not all games to be released are on the list here. Alternatively, you will see games that the other gaming sites don’t mention. We are taking notice of these games. You can expect reviews for many of them if given half a chance! It should be noted that unless we have some personal experience with the game, there’s a link to the descriptions on the Nintendo website.
9 R.I.P – October 1st
They say this town has always been known to have many people be spirited away…They also say that confused people or those struggling are more likely to get spirited away. You think you’ll be okay…?
In the beginning of autumn, during her second year of high school, that’s what Misa Isshiki, was told by her best friend, causing her heart to skip a beat. “I’ll be fine. I don’t really believe in any of that stuff anyway.” That’s right… She doesn’t believe in that kind of thing…It’s just… Her life had been filled with so much stress, all related to what her future would hold…
That’s when an eerie voice reached out to her…
“Why don’t we take a look and see what you should do with your life! I’m the one who will lead you into the darkness…” And that’s when all the strange things around Misa began to happen…
Caroline reviewed the game, giving it an I Like it a Lot and saying in conclusion:
All the feedback above aside, 9 R.I.P. has a special place in my heart. It has been a little while since I played another otome game, and this game lit my fire for it once again. I think fall and Halloween are the perfect moments to play this game and really embrace the ghost romance stories. Everyone has a storyline for them in the game due to the many realms we play in. 9 R.I.P. feels like it has multiple games rolled into one!
Hidden in My Paradise – October 9th
Hide objects, decorate, and complete missions in this cozy hidden-object game where you can create little paradises and share them with the world!
Lynne reviewed Hidden in My Paradise and said this in her conclusion:
Hidden in My Paradise adds something extra to the hidden object genre. Being able to move the objects around the scene to help find the items, re-creating snapshots and the ability to create your own levels makes for extended play.
8 Bit Adventures 2 – October 15th
8-Bit Adventures 2 features everything you love about classic JRPGs. An earnest, engaging storyline; relatable, easy-to-love characters; strategic turn-based combat; deep party customization; an unforgettable soundtrack; and a large, fantastical world – traversed by Airship, and brought to life by vibrant 8-Bit inspired visuals.
When a mistreated child with impossible powers threatens to reshape the world, a hero’s disappearance kicks off a grand adventure – and a battle for survival…
While it may be a sequel, anyone can jump into this all-new JRPG experience!
James felt this game was an adventure well worth taking, this is his conclusion:
8-Bit Adventures 2 is easily my favourite RPG surprise of the year. Going in, I expected another formulaic RPG Maker project, but instead, I was met with a heartfelt plot and deep, engaging gameplay. I absolutely recommend this game for fans of the genre, but even newcomers will find it welcoming while still offering a satisfying challenge. If you’re looking for your next long-term game project, look no further.
Neva – October 15th
Neva is an emotionally charged action adventure from the visionary team behind the critically acclaimed GRIS.
Neva chronicles the story of Alba, a young woman bound to a curious wolf cub following a traumatic encounter with dark forces. Together, they embark on a perilous journey through a once beautiful world as it slowly decays around them.
Arsene Lupin – Once A Thief – October 17th
Dive into a captivating journey through this adventure-puzzle game that explores the early life, loves, and crimes of the iconic gentleman thief. The Seed: Unit 7 – October 18th
The Seed: Unit 7 is a farming and life simulation adventure presented in retro top-down style. Take the role of a man buried by insurmountable debt, charged with working off his burden to humanity by tending a farm inside one of the domes.
It’s up to you to clean up Unit 7, plowing fields and planting new crops. Venture outside the dome to go fishing or gather other resources, but don’t forget your protective mask! And always be aware of your energy gauge, or you’ll collapse from exhaustion. Then buy and sell goods at the automated vendor facility to progress. Can you clear your debt and earn your freedom?
Lynne reviewed the game and liked it, saying:
The Seed: Unit 7 didn’t grow on me the same as other mini-farming games. Although there is diversity in activity, with livestock farming, fishing and exploration, the cost of these made it uneconomical to help reach the end goal quickly. However, I enjoyed the challenge of finding a way to escape The Seed: Unit 7.
Shin-chan: Shiro and the Coal Town – October 24th
Father Hiroshi is suddenly given a job assignment near his hometown in Akita. So the Nohara family make their way to a small village near Hiroshi’s parents’ home and rent out a traditional Japanese farmhouse. Nestled in this tranquil rural landscape, they begin their carefree and quiet life in the countryside.
Ginnosuke, Shinnosuke’s grandfather, bestows the mysteries of country playtime by teaching Shinnosuke how to catch bugs and fish. A highlight of every evening is when the family gathers around the sunken hearth to savour delicious Akita dishes.
In the village, Shinnosuke talks with farmers and makes new friends. Every day, he’s enjoying life to the fullest until…Shinnosuke Follows After a Soot-covered dog Shiro. Shiro suddenly dashes away and Shinnosuke chases after Shiro until, stopped before him, he notices a mysterious train he’s never seen before. Boarding the train, he finds himself in Coal Town.
Coal Town is a lively and prosperous town that seems to have been frozen in time since the Showa era. In this town, energetic working-class people are going about their day. After meeting a mysterious young girl, Shinnosuke becomes friends with these people. And so begins Shinnosuke’s newest adventure…!
I reviewed the game and gave it our highest rating, writing in conclusion:
Shin chan: Shiro and the Coal Town is not for gamers who want to be bowled over by fast-paced action or striving for bigger and better goals. Instead, this is a game to curl up with on the couch and see Shin chan’s world with a kind of childlike wonder. Orange Season – October 24th
Orange Season is a delightful farm-life RPG inspired by the classics of the genre! Make your farmer dreams come true in the charming Orange Town.
Grow crops, raise animals, fish, and mine to build a successful and profitable farm. Socialize with the residents by helping them out with quests and forge meaningful relationships that will last a lifetime. Take a break from time to time by participating in town festivals and minigames. Explore and farm as you deal with the challenges of your new life in Orange Season!
Orange Town is home to all kinds of different people, each with their own secrets, struggles, and stories. Make friends, build strong connections, and figure out your own path as you get to know everyone. Will you be able to thrive in this lively community?
Lynne wasn’t sure about this game, as there were some bugs preventing a fun gameplay. She said in conclusion:
Orange Season has a wide range of produce, some interesting livestock options, and different types of festivals to similar games in the genre. However, I was disappointed in the overall balance, with no long term plan to keep me playing.
I really wanted to like the game and find out what was going on in Orange Town. However, once the coop is out of order, it is impossible to complete some of the tasks, and for that reason, I can’t recommend it.
Ys X Nordics – October 25th
Embark on a high seas adventure rich with action and exploration in Ys X: Nordics! Experience the perils of Obelia Gulf through the eyes of Adol Christin and his unexpected ally, the pirate Karja Balta, as they help save the people of the gulf from the mysterious immortal monsters known as the Griegr.
James dove right in Adol, and wrote in his conclusion:
Whether you’re a longtime fan of the series or a newcomer looking to dive into a new action RPG, Ys X: Nordics has something to offer. If you’re looking for an exciting adventure with engaging combat and exploration, don’t let this one pass you by.
Core Keeper – October 29th
Drawn towards a mysterious relic, you are an explorer who awakens in an ancient cavern of creatures, resources and trinkets. Trapped deep underground will your survival skills be up to the task?
Mine relics and resources to build your base, craft new equipment, survive, and power up the Core. Defeat giant monsters, discover hidden secrets, farm crops, cook new recipes and explore a procedurally generated underground world in a mining sandbox adventure for 1-4 players.
Explore a vast underground cave of endless resources. Mine ores, discover hidden crystals, fossils & trinkets and survive a procedurally generated underground world.
Delve into living biomes and fight cavernous creatures in a vast subterranean system. Scour the dark world around you and encounter the behemoths of the underground. Defeat them and take the spoils of victory to help uncover the mystery of the Core.
Customise your character and craft new items, armour and equipment to venture further into the caves. Craft a pickaxe to mine walls and resources, build bridges to cross underground lakes, and place torches to light up the profound ever-present darkness.

Survive alone or play online with up to 3 other players. Work together to mine resources, fight, farm, craft and survive. Specialise in your role to help your fellow explorers tame the unruly landscape you find yourselves in.
James liked the game a lot, writing in conclusion:
Core Keeper may not reinvent the survival genre, but it certainly adds its own charm and sense of wonder to it. The game succeeds in creating an atmosphere of exploration and discovery, allowing players to choose their path and take on the challenges of the caves at their own pace. It’s a title that respects your time, offering as much depth as you’re willing to invest, whether you’re a casual player looking for a relaxing escape or a survival enthusiast seeking a challenge. If crafting games isn’t your cup of tea, Core Keeper likely won’t change your mind. However, for those who enjoy gathering resources, building bases, and venturing into the unknown, this game is well worth a spot in your Switch library.
