Hello readers! What an outstanding time it is here at LadiesGamers during this 10-year anniversary. Ten years is an extraordinary age for a site to reach, and we show no signs of stopping. I’m so grateful to our leaders, my fellow writers (past and present), all of the wonderful people who trust us with codes to review their games, our very special Patreon contributors, and, of course, YOU! Thank you for coming here. I love to write with our readers in mind, hoping to provide valuable information for your gaming experience.
My Discovery of LadiesGamers
I first discovered LadiesGamers when I was searching the internet for reviews of an indie game. The game did not have a lot of coverage, and some of what was available was just a basic overview, no more informative than the store page.
LadiesGamers was the only place I found with informative writing on what to expect, and I was immediately a fan! My wishlist grew a lot that day as I browsed reviews and guides across the site, finding gems I’d not heard of before. To me, that useful coverage and indie-friendly attitude capture the heart of LadiesGamers.

My favorite game that I discovered on this site is Littlewood. Paula covered everything I needed to know about the gameplay and the feel of playing, plus her screenshots gave a great glimpse at what to expect. Littlewood remains one of my favorite cozy games, absolutely packed with things to do and items to collect. Even with a deck-building mini-game, it never feels like too much to handle. I recommend this game; it is as easy as playing it.

The Ever Helpful Guides
Once LadiesGamers had my trust, I also got use of the guides here. I really appreciate the guides! They can even help me make a final decision on whether I will purchase a game. Advice for getting started can make a huge difference in how comfortable I am playing a game and help my first impressions be more informed. Two of my favorite examples of this have been Hokko Life and Grow: Song of the Evertree. The guides pointed me toward the best things about the games and how to navigate them so I could quickly get the best out of my time.

Applying Through a Survey
I think it’s so precious that this site does reader surveys and is so approachable to its audience. It was in a reader survey that I expressed my interest in helping the site if they could find a spot for me! Participating as part of the team has been so valuable. It is so exciting to try out a variety of games and share with you what I discover. I’ve been a writer here for less than a year, but I have already found surprises, good and bad, emphasizing for me the good of our work here.

Reviewing Cattails: Wildwood Story for you has been my favorite opportunity so far. Getting to offer coverage to you on a game that I’d been personally excited about was such a joy. Especially since it lived up to my expectations! What a great highlight of the kind of finely executed indie game that I love to talk about.
Another particular delight so far has been getting to write about Loddlenaut. I took so many screenshots to try to show that gameplay! Loddlenaut and Paleo Pines are games that people have had conversations with me about after my reviews were published, and that is a truly delightful experience for me. (Always feel free to find me on Bluesky or, of course, the Discord for Patreons!)

Get out the birthday cake and candles for this anniversary; let’s celebrate the past and future of LadiesGamers and its community. Thanks again for being here!
