Autumn Update for Luma Island + Sale

Luma Island is feeling festive with crisp air, golden leaves, and a few spooky surprises! And with this Autumn Update comes a few more new things in version 1.1.4:

Autumn Sale at Might and Delight

Publisher Might and Delight has an Autumn Sale going on on Steam, with some great games and good discounts. You’ll have to act quick as, for example, Twinkleby is discounted until October 3rd.

The other games are on sale until October 6th. Early Access game Book of Travels is 20% off, Pan-Pan is 70% off, same as the games in the Shelter seriesTiny Echo is even 80% off!

Productivity Game On-Together

On-Together looks like a colourful, cosy productivity game that helps you stay focused while keeping social connections close. Designed for PC, it’s available now and sits quietly at the bottom of your screen while you work, study, or stream.

You’ll join a shared co-working space that feels like a virtual study lounge—ideal for solo sessions or quiet collaboration with friends. Built-in tools like a focus timer, to-do list, and journal help you stay organised and motivated throughout the day.

When it’s time for a break, you can chat or play bite-sized games with others, adding a playful rhythm to your workflow. As you keep up your routine, you’ll unlock new customisation options by simply staying on task or exploring the community.

There’s a demo available on the Steam store now. It has limited access to certain features, but there is plenty there for you to get stuck into and change the way you work or study!

You’ll unlock a mystical home atop a giant sea turtle by completing a short quest between Misthaven and Mosswood. As you explore new regions, your turtle relocates, offering fresh views and a peaceful retreat in the game’s Nordic-inspired world.

Inside this moving home, you’ll find all the essentials: a bed, a portal, a mirror, and a tower-top spyglass that reveals hidden secrets. You can also discover four exclusive cosmetics (two fox skins and two eye colours), plus new lore scrolls and a relic that deepens the story.

1.0 Release of Whimel Academy

Whimel Academy, which Kalina reviewed in Early Access and already loved, is getting its 1.0 version on Steam on October 24.

In the game, you will live the day-to-day of a magic school student. Whimel Academy is a cozy magic school simulation game. You will manage your time and balance between studying magic, part-time jobs, and befriending (or romance) classmates in this wholesome and enchanting world!

Launch Date for Winter Burrow

Winter Burrow, the cozy woodland survival game where you play a city mouse returning to fix up your childhood home, is launching on 12 November for Steam, Game Pass, Xbox, and Switch.

In Winter Burrow, you play as a mouse returning from the big city to find your childhood home in disrepair—and your Aunt mysteriously missing. The game will blend cozy charm with survival elements as you gather resources, craft tools, knit sweaters, bake pies, and make friends with the local woodland creatures. Exploration is key as you brave a frozen wilderness, fend off insect threats, and solve the mystery of your Aunt’s disappearance.

A brand-new demo is out now on Steam, released during Indie Fan Fest and joining Steam Next Fest from 13 October. The updated demo includes a fresh storyline with Aunty, a new look for your mouse, more cooking, new items to craft, a redesigned UI, and mushroom gardening. Expect 1–2 hours of playtime in the demo and a warm welcome to the woods.

Biped 2 Launching in November

Biped 2, the sequel to the much-loved co-op adventure, is launching on 5 November 2025 for Windows PC (Steam, GOG, Epic), PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

You’ll team up with returning heroes Aku and Sila, plus two new characters, Mimo and Azul, to answer a mysterious signal from a distant planet. This time, you can play solo, in pairs, or with up to four players online or on the couch. There’s even a new 2v2 mode if you fancy a bit of friendly competition.

Expect new biomes, robots, missions, and movement mechanics like hang gliding and grappling. You’ll also be able to customise your bot with quirky outfits and build your own levels via Steam Workshop.

We liked the first Biped game, so it will be interesting to see what this sequel brings.

A Medieval Village Diorama in Outside the Blocks

Outside the Blocks is launching on Steam this 4 November, and has a demo already up. Looking at the Steam page, it’s a colourful, creative sandbox where you’re in charge.

No missions or competition, you’re handed a toolkit and a blank canvas, which you can shape into anything from cosy chicken coops to grand castles. It’s all about building at your own pace, with no pressure and plenty of charm.

You’ll get full control over terrain, weather, and atmosphere, plus a generous palette of materials, colours, and accessories. Once your diorama’s done, you can animate it with plants, animals, and natural effects, then pop it under a glass dome and snap a photo to share with the community.

Haunt ’n’ Hustle Update for Go-Go Town!

Go-Go Town! is getting a spooky makeover this October, thanks to the free Haunt ’n’ Hustle update, available now on Steam. If you’re already mayor of your own bustling town, you can dive straight into the seasonal fun with creepy plants, eerie fences, and a mysterious marker stone to set the mood.

A new Halloween vendor has rolled into town, offering fresh items alongside returning favourites like jack-o’-lanterns. You’ll also find festive backpacks and fang types to give your character a frightfully stylish edge. And if you fancy building your own haunted maze, new hedge variations make it easy to get creative.

The update’s free for all players, and with Go-Go Town! Currently 25% off in the Steam Autumn Sale.

Puzzle-Platformer LIFTED Coming

LIFTED looks like a heartfelt and delightfully chaotic puzzle-platformer, brought to life by former Disney Imagineer Jeffrey Ashbrook and his studio Adventure Works. You’ll join Ari Buktu, a curious student chasing extra credit, and his eccentric professor on a time-travelling quest packed with humour, history, and cinematic flair.

From ancient Egypt to Mayan ruins, you’ll dodge pirates, solve puzzles, and race against historical villains to recover a precious tiara. It’s a vibrant adventure full of imagination and emotional beats, with a demo already available on Steam.

The full game launches in Q1 2026 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC, so you’ve got time to brush up on your platforming skills before diving into Ari’s wild ride through time. Check out the trailer here.
