MySims Bundle on Switch?

Peaceful, colourful and happy. Those are the words that describe the MySims franchise. You could say, wholesome before wholesome was a word we used for games. Do you remember the games that brightened our days on 3DS and Wii?

Good news that Nintendo has just confirmed it: “Two beloved MySims games come together in this new collection. Befriend cute characters, discover creative adventures and customize your town in MySims and MySims Kingdom. These games combine cozy life simulation with compelling narrative elements. The Nintendo Switch exclusive MySims: Cozy Bundle arrives Nov. 19th, but pre-orders are available on Nintendo eShop later today!”

Even though it would be just a port, I’d be glad to jump back in with the MySims and enjoy their gibberish conversations!

Europa Release Date

Europa has a release date on Steam and Switch: October 11th! If you can’t wait for that, there’s already a free demo on Steam and Switch available now. Europa is a 3D action-platformer in which players will glide, fly and boost across breathtaking landscapes. In Europa, you play as Zee, an android and the “child” of one of the last humans. Zee is on a journey through the vast green lushness of Europa, one of Jupiter’s moons, terraformed to shelter humanity from what seems to be the fall of Earth.

Kalina checked out the demo a year ago, and found it to be a gorgeous game in a world that seems to be alive. A peaceful journey and a nice one to look forward to!

In the background, towering snow-capped mountains rise majestically, while the surrounding grassy fields are dotted with colorful wildflowers. The scene evokes a peaceful, idyllic atmosphere in the world of Europa. Published on: LadiesGamers.

The New Atelier Game

Not exactly an indie game I know, but one I’m super exited for anyway. During today’s Nintendo Direct livestream, KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Gust revealed the first teaser trailer for their upcoming game, Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land. Scheduled for an early 2025 release, this new entry in the beloved Atelier series will be available on PlayStation 4 & 5, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and, for the first time, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

Fans can look forward to more details about Atelier Yumia during a special Gust livestream on September 2nd, 2024, at 21:00 JST. The stream will be in Japanese so this might be a challenge!

Cuisineer Coming to Consoles

Developed by BattleBrew Productions, Cuisineer is a unique mix of genres. It’s an action game, a roguelike, and a cooking game all rolled into one. Paula liked the game a lot when she reviewed it on Steam, and now Cuisineer is also coming to consoles.

On January 28th, 2025 it will be released on Switch, PS5 and Xbox X|S. Check out our review here.

A New Kairosoft Game with Doraemon

Nice news for fans of Kairosoft’s management simulation games. Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story has landed on the Nintendo Switch. A game where you run a sweets shop with the popular manga character Doraemon. First, make the sweets, set up the shelves, prepare the tables, and get ready to run the shop! During your adventure to find ingredients, you will encounter many difficulties. Even in such a situation, Doraemon’s secret gadgets will help you solve difficult problems without any difficulty!

And if you like the Kairosoft offerings, we have already covered many!

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma Unveiled

Marvelous has officially unveiled Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma during today’s Partner Showcase, revealing that the game, formerly known as Project Dragon, is set to release in Spring 2025. Set in the new world of Azuma, inspired by the East, you’ll harness the powers of the Earth Dancer to combat the Blight and restore balance to the land. It would seem the franchise is taking a new turn, which is a good thing as their last Rune Factory 5 really wasn’t their best.

This upcoming instalment introduces fresh combat mechanics with new weapons like the Bow and Talisman and the unique ability to rebuild entire villages. You can explore seasonal-themed villages, immerse yourself in Japanese-inspired aesthetics, and even experience revamped festivals alongside new romance options.

As an Earth Dancer, you will use the power of dance, sacred treasures, and fresh weapons like the Bow and Talisman to purify the land, farm, and undo the Blight’s damage. You don’t just mind the farm, you get to rebuild entire villages. Construct and place buildings strategically to entice people to return to the villages and contribute. Revive the gods to bring vitality and valuable resources back to the plagued lands. Experience beautiful Japanese-inspired character designs and aesthetics—from festivals to events to monsters. Of course, romance is included as well. You get to choose between male and female protagonists, then befriend or romance any of the eligible candidates in fully voiced scenarios. Recruit these new friends to aid in battle, too.

Guardians of Azuma will also be available in a special Earth Dancer Edition, featuring exclusive items like a custom box, soundtrack CD, artbook, folding fan, and more.

Coffee Talk Tokyo

We love the original Coffee Talk and Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly, so we are really happy to get a new chapter. Coffee Talk series, Coffee Talk Tokyo, invites you to become a late-night barista in a cosy Tokyo coffee shop. While your customers may have supernatural origins, their struggles are very relatable. You’ll serve warm drinks, listen to their stories, and provide comfort, all accompanied by original lo-fi music from series composer Andrew Jeremy. Coffee Talk Tokyo will be brewing on Nintendo Switch in 2025.

A scene from Coffee Talk: Hibiscus & Butterfly featuring a green-skinned character in a suit holding a coffee cup and a smiling, fox-eared character in a colorful jacket sitting next to them, both in a cozy café setting with warm lighting and a serene atmosphere. A lucky cat figurine and other decorations are visible in the background, enhancing the charm of the café. Published on: LadiesGamers

Sea of Stars Free DLC

Sea of Stars – Throes of the Watchmaker is free DLC for Sea of Stars. We gave Sea of Stars our highest rating, so it’s great to hear that this new addition is coming. In this new adventure, you’ll dive into a miniature clockwork world where Valere and Zale must navigate a cursed carnival by mastering new roles. Zale is a skilled juggler, and Valere is a dazzling acrobat. Joined by a new playable character, Arty, they’ll explore fresh areas, tackle new dungeons, and face off against new enemies, bosses, and puzzles in the world of Horloge.

The DLC also introduces a local co-op mode, allowing up to three players to team up for a shared adventure. Sea of Stars – Throes of the Watchmaker is set to launch on Nintendo Switch in spring 2025.

Release Window Tales of the Shire

Tales of the Shire: A Lord of the Rings Game, developed by Weta Workshop Game Studio, was briefly in the Nintendo’s Partner Showcase and still looks every bit as good as we had hoped. The game will launch Holiday 2024 on the Switch, Steam, PS5, and Xbox X|S. It’s not entirely specific yet, but at least we have a window. Personally, I’m really looking forward to diving into the cozy hobbit life-sim in Middle Earth!
