My Time at Evershine

The next title in the My Time series, My Time at Evershine, is heading to Kickstarter soon! Which Way Up on Switch Too

Which Way Up: Galaxy Games by Turtle Flip Studio is set to launch on Nintendo Switch (and Steam and Xbox)in Q1 2025, bringing acrobatic gravity events to your screen! Inspired by games like Mario Galaxy, this multiplayer platformer lets you defy gravity with a unique freedom of movement—running on walls and ceilings, orbiting planets, and dodging the pull of black holes. You’ll compete in a variety of game modes with different objectives, adding plenty of chaos, sabotage, and fun.

The game also has a Kickstarter campaign planned to help fund new features and expand to additional platforms. You’ll get to pick your favourite events and strategize for a winning edge in this family-friendly party game. If you want to try out the game now, there’s a demo available on Steam.

Kamaeru House Plant Deco Pack

Are you enjoying your Kamaeru: a Frog Refuge? The developers have implemented an update, fixed some bugs, and added the Plant Deco Pack. Snufkin Goes Physical on Switch

Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley, a cozy musical adventure game, is set to launch in Europe on physical Game Card for the Nintendo Switch on November 15th, 2024. Published by Clear River Games in collaboration with Raw Fury and Hyper Games, this enchanting adventure arrives just in time for the holiday season. Inspired by the beloved works of Tove Jansson, the game invites both new and longtime fans to explore Moominvalley and its charming inhabitants through a new story.

Players will join Snufkin on a heartwarming journey to restore harmony in Moominvalley, encountering emotional moments, lovable characters, and thoughtful storytelling along the way. Paula reviewed Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley on Steam and liked it a lot!

Locomotive DLC for Sweet Transit

Sweet Transit, developed by Ernestas Norvaišas and published by Team17 Digital, has just released its first paid DLC, the Locomotive Pack, along with the free Electrifying Update for all PC players. The Electrifying Update introduces a new Electricity System featuring buildings like Coal Plants and Wind Turbines to power your Railway Empire, adding a fresh dynamic to your gameplay. New electric trains and wagons, available in the free update, offer cost-efficient solutions for your railway network but require careful management of your power grid, adding an extra layer of strategic challenge.

For those looking to expand their locomotive collection, the paid Locomotive Pack DLC brings six new trains to the game, ranging from classic Steam locomotives to modern Bullet trains, catering to various play styles and preferences. Paula looked at the base game when it was released in early access some time ago and, even then liked what she saw. If you like your management games, check out Sweet Transit.

Story-Driven Fomography

DANGEN Entertainment has announced the upcoming release of Fomography, a story-driven photography adventure set to launch on PC and consoles in early 2025. Weta Workshop has announced that they want to take a little more time for the release of Tales of the Shire. It will be coming now early 2025.

Release Date Potionomics on Consoles

Potionomics: Masterwork Edition is set to launch on October 22, as announced by Marvelous Europe. This expanded port of Voracious Games’ magical shop simulation will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Digital pre-purchases are now open on the Nintendo eShop for Switch and on Xbox Series X|S, priced at €29.99, while PlayStation 5 players can buy the game digitally at launch.

Good news for PC players: all new content and features will also be available for free on October 22. If you prefer a physical copy, you can still pre-order the Masterwork Edition for all console platforms via the Marvelous Europe website or participating retailers, with a retail price of €39.99.

Whimel Academy Coming in Early Access

Whimel Academy, a cosy fantasy time management game, is set to launch in Early Access on Steam on October 9th, 2024. In Whimel Academy, you’ll step into the shoes of a student at a magical school for witches, wizards, and mages, embarking on a six-year journey to make the most of your time on campus.

Upon receiving your acceptance letter, you’ll explore the charming academy, navigate time management mechanics, and even scout scholarship opportunities with the help of an in-game notebook guide. You’ll have the chance to make friends, explore romantic connections, and customize your skills in areas like knowledge, courage, persuasion, or creativity. Attend classes such as potion-making, Divination Fundamentals, or Flying 101 to develop your abilities, unlocking advanced coursework and new dialogue options with classmates.

Outside of classes, there’s plenty to do! Spend weekends downtown earning currency through part-time jobs, which you can spend on decorating your dorm, buying books, or experimenting with potion brewing. You can even grow your own potion ingredients in the campus greenhouse. With its rich variety of activities and character interactions, Whimel Academy offers a magical, customizable role-play experience perfect for fans of cosy time management games.
