Clean Up Earth is a 2026 cleaning simulator developed and released by Magic Pockets. Soozi Q took part in the playtest of Clean Up Earth, which you can find here.

The Premise of Clean Up Earth

In Clean Up Earth, we have a mission to clean different biomes in different time zones from trash, and we recycle to earn coins and resources.

The Gameplay of Clean Up Earth

In Clean Up Earth, we have several levels, each in a different biome with different types of trash- old furniture, plastics, old clothes, radioactive materials, and so on.

We start with a very basic avatar creator, then move on to the first three levels, which serve as a tutorial for the game. After completing each level, the next one unlocks. It is impossible to skip levels at the beginning, which is quite annoying if you get stuck looking for a piece of trash or are unable to upgrade your vacuum to collect a larger piece. Being stuck on a level means you can’t continue playing the solo levels further.

On the main page, the levels are on the side, and you can flip through them. I was confused the second time I started the game – instead of continuing from where I had stopped the previous game, I was prompted to start anew. But I figured it out – you can choose a level from the side, as long as it’s already been unlocked.

Each type of waste can be collected with a dedicated nozzle on our waste vacuum, the Terra Cleaner. We also get some gadgets, such as a radio and a waste scanner. One thing I haven’t seen in the game is battery packs, and our waste vacuum starts to display a “low battery” warning relatively early in the levels. We can use a dedicated recycle station to empty the vacuum, recycle the waste, and earn coins for upgrades or resources such as wood and rope to rebuild damaged structures, such as ladders, bridges, and even cottages.

Restoring nature and more.

One of the most satisfying parts of Clean Up Earth is seeing the restoration happen in real time – we see wildlife returning, plants growing back, and an overall change in the landscape. As we play, we get tips from “colleagues” and additional information about the flora and fauna in our codex.

Clean Up Earth has a co-op mode, with up to 8 players working together or a larger shared cleanup zone for up to 25 players. We can also select a partner organization to represent in-game. During large online sessions, community progress can trigger real micro-donations to environmental initiatives on the ground, all without requiring players to make extra purchases.

Clean Up Earth is not just about cleaning – each map hides ancient artifacts and echoes of past civilizations. As we clear areas, we uncover relics and memories of times past. From Area 51 to the Bermuda Triangle and beyond, each map hides secrets waiting to be uncovered.

Some Other Things

Clean Up Earth has a demo available on its Steam page. The game has Steam achievements, but no Trading cards yet. It also has basic video and audio settings.

Conclusion

Clean Up Earth is easily one of my “podcast games”- I load up a podcast or an audiobook and start the game. It is a beautiful, vibrant game, but unfortunately, the inability to skip levels or at least have a hint system if you get stuck means you might not be able to finish it. Still, if you are willing to take that risk and you need a new, relaxing, and satisfying experience that doesn’t involve cleaning in real life, Clean Up Earth might be the game for you.
