It’s time for Gaming News and what a great weekend for gaming! Tonight, we have news about a naughty goose, a washed-up hero, and a son who’s on a mission to save his Mum.
Untitled Goose Game Launches Tomorrow
This week’s big release is Untitled Goose Game from House House. In the game, you play a horrible goose, and your goal is to make folk’s life a misery. Nintendo’s website describes the game as “a slapstick-stealth-sandbox, where you… make your way around town, from peoples’ back gardens to the high street shops to the village green, setting up pranks, stealing hats, honking a lot, and generally ruining everyone’s day.”
Are you excited for Untitled Goose Game? Let us know in the comments below.
Link’s Awakening Story Trailer
If you’re not aware, a small game called The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is launching for Nintendo Switch tomorrow. The game follows on from another small insignificant game called The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. I don’t understand why Nintendo decided to release it the same day as the much-hyped Untitled Goose Game. What chance does Link have against a naughty goose? 😂
For those willing to give the underdog a chance, why not catch up with the story trailer that Nintendo released earlier this week.
Puzzle Quest – The Legend Returns Available Today
If Untitled Goose Game or Link’s Awakening is not your thing then Puzzle Quest: The Legend Returns may well be. I remember the hours I spent playing the original Puzzle Quest on Nintendo DS! I rate the game highly, and it’s a shame (at least for me) that it has launched the same week as Link’s Awakening.
The Official PR calls it “the best, most complete, and definitive Puzzle Quest experience to date.” As well as being an HD remake of the original, the game also includes 100 brand news quests, an expanded story, more classes, and multiple in-game improvements. I’m so tempted to purchase this along with Link’s Awakening! Why did the game have to release today of all days!
Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch
While some are excited about the above titles, others are looking forward to Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. In the game, you play as Oliver as he “embarks to another world inhabited by familiars and foes in the hopes of bringing back his mother from a parallel universe after a tragic incident. With a copy of the Wizard’s Companion book and his trusty friend, Drippy, by his side, Oliver will travel diverse landscapes to tame familiars and take on enemies. With his newly formed friends and team of familiars, it’ll be up to Oliver to overcome the challenges of personal growth and fierce enemies to save his mother.” (Offical Press Release)
Our friend Yvonne already has the game in her possession, and I’m sure she’ll type some impressions up soon.
That’s it for now. Have a great weekend.
Untitled Goose Game is coming out?! That’s awesome! I had completely forgotten about that one.
So many good games to chose from, and it’s not even Christmas!
It feels like it is, though!
I love the humor in this update Jonah!
Can’t wait to hear Yvonne’s opinion about Ni No Kuni.
(hope Ni No Kuni 2 will follow to the switch!)
Indeed, a small title like Links Awakening eh? We are being spoiled my friend! Have you played Ni no Kuni on the PS before, Ronja?
Haha, YES!!
It’s one of my favorite games, I enjoyed it so much on the PS3! (I played it many many many hours!)
I have the book that came with the special edition.
(alas not the complete special edition with plush, but the book on it’s own is awesome)
Do I remember correct that you have the Japanese book Yvonne?
It’s a must buy & play (again) for me (but not necessarily on release)
I got the special edition of Ni No Kuni 2 for the PS4, but somehow not been able to really get into it.
I tried to start 2 or 3 times, but haven’t continued for some reason.
Starting something new always has a threshold for me and the PS4 controller is a little bit to heavy for me. (heavy and stiff, it takes a bit more muscle to play, and I get pain in my arm pretty quick)
I’m absolutely 100% sure I will play it and love it, but if it get’s released for the switch that has my preference.
I love the Switch controller!
Yes, I’ve got the Japanese book! Oh the PS version came with a book too? Goes to show how little I know about PS games, lol. The book looks so good right? All the drawings and the extra info.
I’m at the dungeon with the mouse boss. It’s not an easy game is it? I put the difficulty on regular, but I’m in dire need of more safe points in the dungeon as I can’t save otherwise in the dungeon. Died two times already, as I’m still getting used to the button combinations..
Still, loving the game. And though I’ve seen word online about bugs and lagging, it’s working perfectly for me.
Yes, it came with the special edition of the PS3 too.
It’s the most beautiful book I own (and I have a LOT of books!)
I can’t remember it being hard (but it’s a long time ago). I do remember having all the creatures collected at the end, haha
I spent more time on completing/ collecting everything than just finishing the game (like always in my case)
Glad you like it Yvonne!
