Little Sim World Early Impressions

An early access code was provided, thanks to Gravity Labs.

Little Sim World is a cozy and wholesome life simulator that offers a fresh and unique experience. It’s perfect for fans of slice-of-life games, with a distinct charm that’s quite different from The Sims.

Little Sim World – A Cozy and Wholesome Life Sim

After creating and naming your character, you’ll choose between two game modes: Learn To Live and No Hints, Just Life. I opted for Learn To Live, which I found really helpful for getting the hang of things. It eased me into the game without making me feel overwhelmed.

Leveling up the Cozy Way in Little London

In Little Sim World, you’ve just arrived in the quirky town of Little London. Your Uncle George hooked you up with a house, though it’s a bit of a mystery if it ever was his house. He gives you a quick call, says the keys are in the mailbox, and tells you to head to the pub. That’s where you meet Simon, and just like that, your cozy quests begins.

To level up your character in Little Sim World, you’ll complete quests. Once the objectives are done, you’ll earn experience points and often crowns, the game’s currency. Just don’t forget to clickComplete to actually receive your rewards!

There are a few methods for skill levelling. You can head to the library and read books tied to specific skills or find magazines, either at the library or by digging through trash bins ( Pro tip: You’ll need gloves from D&Y construction to rummage properly.) You’ll also gain skill XP by doing tasks, like recycling your empty plastic bottles. Here’s a fun bonus: reaching certain skill levels unlocks new outfits, so levelling isn’t just useful, it’s stylish too!

The Pros of Little Sim World

I really love a few things about Little Sim World. First, fishing! I am super picky about fishing in games ( it took me ages to get the hang of the mini-game in Stardew Valley), so I was thrilled to see there’s no mini-game here. You just cast your line, and your character pulls in a fish… or junk. It’s simple, chill, and exactly my kind of vibe.

The quests are another huge win for me. I’m an absolute sucker for games with questlines, and Little Sim World delivers with fun and rewarding ones.

Then, there are events, another big pro in my book! Random seasonal happenings that keep things fresh, I especially loved the Easter event. You can snag festive outfits and decorations to cozy up your house which is too cute.

I don’t have many cons to share. Since Little Sim World is still in Early Access, it’s totally expected that a few bugs might pop up. Personally, I’ve only run into one so far.

It happened during the quest Ink & Quill: A Writer’s Tale. There’s a part where you need to practice writing for 15 hours. Even though my character has definitely spent over 10 hours practising writing, the quest tracker is still stuck at just 1 hour. So for now, I’m a little stuck, but I’m hopeful it’ll get patched soon!

Final Thoughts

I absolutely love this game! It’s incredibly cute and wholesome, and I’ve had such a great time exploring everything it has to offer. I’m really excited to see what the developers add in future updates, there’s so much potential!

One of the things that really stood out to me was the art style. It has this charming, hand-drawn look that perfectly matches the cozy tone of the game. The colors are soft and pleasant, and the characters and environments have a playful and welcoming feel.

The music also deserves a mention. It’s light, relaxing, and not too overwhelming, which is ideal for those long play sessions where you just want to sink into a game and unwind.

Since the game is in early access, I’m looking forward to seeing how it continues to grow. The foundation is already solid, and with more content and features Little Sim World could easily become a cozy favorite for so many players.
