Mizi NO! is a 2024 puzzle game developed and released by DU&I. While the base game is free, the four DLCs released afterwards are paid (each priced UK £1.69 | US $1.99 | EU € 1,99).
The Premise of Mizi NO!
In Mizi NO!, we begin with a curious white cat, and then we have to put together a lot of broken jars, mugs, plates, vases, and so on.

Gameplay
Mizi NO! is basically a jigsaw puzzle. We have the broken object in pieces on a green mat, and we need to put it together. We can sort and rotate the shards, zoom in and out, select several pieces, and move them around together. Once two pieces are fitted together correctly, they become a whole new piece.
To make the game easier or more relaxing, we can flip all the pieces in the correct position to put them together. We can also choose to have the silhouette of the object present on the board and then arrange the pieces on top of it. We can also look at the completed puzzle at any time as a visual hint. All of this is accessible anytime during play from the top side of the screen.

Base Game Has 15 Free Levels
In terms of difficulty, Mizi NO! starts to slow with a level of just 3 pieces, gradually increasing the piece’s number and the level of difficulty as the game progresses. The base game has 15 free levels, and the paid DLCs each have 20-21 levels.
The last DLC is titled Kintsugi, which I thought was nice. Kintsugi is a Japanese technique of broken pottery that involves fusing broken pieces with a special type of lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. The result is restored pottery, such as a vase with metallic streaks. The idea is to treat breakage and repair as part of the history of an object rather than something to be hidden. In the DLC, kintsugi is a cosmetic rather than a gameplay mechanic, but still, it’s a nice touch in a game about putting together broken ceramics.

Mizi NO! features handcrafted puzzles in a colorful but relaxing art style with soft and rounded lines. Each level starts with Mizi, the cat breaking whatever it is – a mug, a jar, etc. The music is quirky and cheerful, pleasant enough not to turn off. The controls are minimal—left and right mouse buttons and that’s it. There are no timers, and yes, you can pet the cat. Mizi NO! saves your progress automatically.
Some Other Things
Mizi NO! has basic audio settings, such as windowed and fullscreen. It has Steam achievements, all of which are achievable in the free base game. As of yet, there are Trading cards.

Conclusion
Mizi NO! is a fun and relaxing game about putting things together. The levels are easy enough to let you relax for a few minutes. And it has cats! Really, what’s not to like?
