The Premise of Pawsome Hidden Cats: Kittynawa
In Pawsome Hidden Cats: Kittynawa, we look for cats hidden in a Japanese culture-inspired city. The game is in the same style as previous games by the same developer – Purrfectly Hidden Cats – Kittenwood, Purrfectly Hidden Cats – Kittenbay, and Purrfectly Hidden Cats – Kittenrock.
Gameplay
Much like the other games by the same developer, in Pawsome Hidden Cats: Kittynawa, we have a big picture with two types of cats to look for – cats in plain sight and cats that, to find, require some kind of interaction. It could be anything from opening doors, ringing doorbells, opening boxes, and so on. Once we see all the cats, we unlock extra levels – a quest to find some kitten pillars using a unique lantern, another scene where we look for objects and cats, and finally, look for foxes around the main scene.
On the top side of the screen, we have a counter for each type of cat, and we can zoom in and out of the picture as needed.
While none of the levels is particularly difficult, the game still took me over an hour to complete. The main issue is the lack of a hint button, something that, at this point, is traditional for Gemcraft Games. It means that you can spend half an hour looking for those 2-3 final cats.
As usual, Kittynawa is a magical hand-drawn cat heaven. The illustrations are beautifully detailed, with a lot of humor and personality for each cat and creature. It’s completed with a fun and engaging storyline. Pawsome Hidden Cats: Kittynawa was announced as the first game in a new series of Hidden Cats games, so the only real connection with the Purrfectly Hidden Cats game series would be the style.

Pawsome Hidden Cats: Kittynawa has Steam achievements, but trading cards still need to be made. The game has basic audio and graphics settings.
Conclusion
While Pawsome Hidden Cats: Kittynawa doesn’t offer anything genuinely new and spectacular to the genre, it’s still a fun and cozy game to play, especially with the colder months coming. Gemcraft Games, keep them coming!
